Will Carlson is a second-rate children's entertainer who barely scrapes out a living appearing as Flappy the Clown at children's parties. Determined to make a living and support his harridan mother through clowning, Will gets the idea to change his act, and starts hiring himself out as Vulgar the Clown, a cross-dressing gagman who performs at adults-only functions and Blood Bowl games.

When asked, "Why did you become a clown? " Homey responded, "I guess its because I got so much love to give...and it's part of my prison work release program. I got about five more years of this clown @#%&."

A troupe of traveling actors is being welcomed by villagers and after the welcome, Canio thanks them and invites them to the show that evening. A villager jokes about Tonio's interest in Nedda and Canio's mood turns extremely dark as he tells them it would not be tolerated. The locals leave for church to celebrate the Assumption. Alone, Nedda reflects on the fierceness of Canio's jealousy. Tonio enters and tries to declare his love for her. She insults him repeatedly and beats him with a whip. No sooner has he left than Silvio, her lover, enters and they talk lovingly with each other. Tonio comes in unnoticed and observes them. He rushes from the scene and brings back Canio. Silvio slips away and Canio demands his name from Nedda. She refuses and Canio becomes violent. Beppe intervenes reminding Canio of their upcoming performance. The air remains charged with rage as Canio slowly puts on his make-up. After a brief Intermezzo, the crowd is seated and waiting for the show to begin. Colombina [ Nedda ] brings another man home to eat with her since her husband Pagliaccio [ Canio ] is away for the evening. He returns home early and interrupts the two. Reality and stage become intertwined for Canio and Nedda as Canio's rage drives the opera to it's tragic close.

This loveable but mischevious clown never speaks, he communicates through pantomine and honking Yes and No horns. Any troubles are settled by a squirt of his seltzer, or a savage block!

Shakes the Clown drinks too much, is late to birthday parties and his girlfriend calls it quits when he misses her big bowling tournament. But things get worse when the clown dispatcher is found dead and Shakes becomes the prime suspect. He's on the run to prove his innocence, save the woman he loves from an evil clown, come to terms with the realization that he's a serious boozer and score a few touchdowns.

Sweet Tooth was an ambitious child. He yearned for his name in the spotlight; not only did he lust for fame and fortune, he wanted to be on top! What exactly he was craving for was unknown, but he knew that the Themed Blood Bowl League championship was the answer to everything. If he were to win the tournament, the demented creator would have his dreams realized!

Wearing striped shirt and socks encased in a baggy one piece zip up suit, the red haired Ronald McDonald, after a brutal block to the head, mostly lives in the fantasy world of McDonaldland where French fries grow on bushes and hamburgers actually talk.

Emmett Kelly Sr. was born in Sedan, Kansas. His first career was in cartooning. His circus career, which spanned 55 years, began as a trapeze performer with the Howes Great London Circus. He went into clowning (portraying a cartoon character he had in earlier years drawn). He worked with Hagenbeck & Wallace, Sells-Floto, Cole Brothers and the Mill Circus in London. In 1942 he joined Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus where he appeared until 1956. While with RBB&B he appeared in the movie, "The Greatest Show on Earth". Following the departure from the circus, he worked in night clubs, indoor circuses, trade shows and resorts. He was a Masonic Lodge member, and belonged to the Scottish Rite and Egypt Shrine temple of Tampa, Florida. He was buried in LaFayette, Indiana in a site near his mother.

But the fact that some geniuses were laughed at does not imply that all who are laughed at are geniuses. They laughed at Columbus, they laughed at Fulton, they laughed at the Wright brothers. But they also laughed at Bozo the Clown -- at least until he beat them into the pitch....
