Gorin was born into the royal family, Clan Doun, of the Citadel Karaz-Doun. His royal title was lost at birth when his parents gave the child up as lost. Born with abnormally large hands this defect was intolerable for one of royal blood and so he was abandoned; made an orphan. Gorin's 'defect' helped make his name in the minor leagues before he was instated as a runner in the Citadel's major team the Karaz-Doun Gladiators. Gorin also earns the monicker, 'The Hand.'

After rigging the last game for his previous team the Grondheim Gladiators, Graznarg was suddenly ejected from the league, his team retired and shamed. Travelling the northern wastes he stumbled across the Citadel of Karaz-Doun. There he worked his way through the minor leagues, with his companion Grimnir, to become captain of the Citadel's major team - The Karaz-Doun Gladiators. It is now time for him to carve out a new history in the annals of BloodBowl history.

Grimnir arrives from the shamed Grondheim Gladiators, following the path of his companion and captain Graznarg Grondheim to the Citadel of Karaz-Doun. Grimnir took the path of the slayer after his regiment was slaughtered at the seige of Fell-Wett; one of only two survivors of four score dwarves in the battle, he swore revenge on the villainous skaven who plundered his regiment. Grimnir holds loyalty only to his captain and the only other survivor of the siege, Graznarg. Now Oathtaken, Grimnir will die gloriously in the BloodBowl arena exacting his revenge in bloody combat.

Frundor joined the ranks of the Karaz-Doun Gladiators to avenge the death of his brother, Grundor. Grundor was viciously stamped upon during the inaugural debut of the Gladiators - his prized china armoured helmet couldn't hold the impact of an opposing dwarven boot. Frundor has sworn to continue the legacy begun by his brother and decorate his beard with the blood of his opponents. grrrr!
