Anyone whose seen Poppyseed Street must realize that "Snuffy" is actually a Chaos Spawn looking for work. This finally came to the attention of the great Chaos diety Nurgle, having been informed by the Nurgle Chaos Priest Oscar the Bad-Tempered. As soon as the mighty corpulence that was Nurgle discovered that one of his spawn was an amusement for children the world over, it cast a spell that caused Snuffy to mutate even further. Driven mad by the Chaos God's whims, Snuffy ate his best friend Large Lark. He made the news and caught the eyes of the coach of the Clamydian Rotters, who was looking for some muscle to bolster his new team.

Oddly enough, that muscle hasn't produced a whole lot, with only six casualties to its name, Snuffy has seen better use as something of an erratic damage shield. His single best ability to see consistent use is Tentacles, which has tripped up many an unwary opponent.
