Of late though, Oakes' astounding strength has found a new use, as he grows more confident in his throwing skills. In a recent match against some chaotic Halflings, Oakes spent his time merrily pursuing new-signing Roundly Boode and tossing the portly young hairyfoot at anything with claws.

The Moot's first documented tree-climbing ogre. Gumbo earned the scorn of thousands of Mattocks fans when he tried to scale renowned Trreeman blocker Bertch Dimbark and unwittingly felled him. He was drafted on the spot to replace the star Tree, but will have a job on to win over his new team-mates.

Funkley is a dedicated team-player, but having lost both kneecaps in the line of fire, he is seeking to make his patented 'lying on his ass on the floor' tackle a key part of the Mattocks' gameplan.

With Thomas Tucker, Bertch Dimbark and Fill Herons all dropping from the roster within a few weeks, Bling has found himself thrust into the spotlight and expected to pull the strings. If he is to emerge as the Mattocks' latest leading light, then he will have to put his lavish off-the-field lifestyle to one side.
