Curt "Mr. Perfect" Henning earned his nickname for "being perfect in the ring". As a matter of fact after almost two years of competing he was undefeated in 150 straight wrestling matches. His streak was halted on December 1, 1989 in Austin, Texas when Terry "Hulk" Hogan pinned "Mr. Perfect". A decade later, Henning would attempt to stop the 150 match winning streak of Bill Goldberg. However, as much as he tried, Mr. Perfect was not perfect enough to stop the Goldberg "streak"

One of the greatest, most popular, most hated and charismatic wrestlers of all time, Hulk Hogan is one of the men who helped parlay the circus-like world of professional wrestling from cult following into the forefront of American entertainment. What many people who know about Hogan don't know is he was in the "sport" for several years in virtual obscurity before hitting the big time. Hogan made his pro debut in 1978 and wrestled as "Sterling Golden" before becoming "Hulk." Hogan was getting main event matches while wrestling in the American Wrestling Alliance (AWA) in the early 1980s before he was cast as Thunderlips in Rocky III (1982). That bit of casting propelled Hogan into the spotlight and he was soon to enter the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) in 1983. At the time, the WWF was just beginning to go from local television (they were based in the Northeast U.S.) to national, and Hogan's personality (and some well-done marketing and PR, plus the Wrestlemania series) helped to transform not only the WWF, but wrestling into the big show it is today. Hogan won the WWF title numerous times, and was credited with dealing André the Giant his first loss in pro wrestling. Hogan was soon seen everywhere -- television, cartoons, movies, records and lunch boxes -- but he was a part of the steroid scandal in the WWF, and quietly left the organization. Hogan laid low in wrestling circles, but continued to act before coming back, this time with World Championship Wrestling (WCW), the WWF's bitter rival. Hogan helped create the New World Order, the main bunch of badmen in WCW, and became more popular than ever. He abandoned his trademark red and yellow colors for black, and even dyed his beard black. He still wrestles as of today, and, like it or not, is probably one of the best entertainers in any form of show business

Roddy Piper was a pro wrestler from 1973-1987 in the NWA, Pacific Northwest, California and most notoriously in the WWF in the eighties. He has wrestled once or twice a year in big events up until the present. He became infamous for his mouth as much as his skills in the ring. He hosted Pipers Pit which saluted the bad guys of professional wrestling. The most famous of which involved him smashing Jimmy Superfly Snuka over the head with a coconut. He was wrestlings most popular villan because of his feud with Hulk Hogan that culminated at Wrestlemania I. Piper has acted in action flicks since he went into semi-retirement after Wrestlemania III when he beat and shaved the late Adrian Adonis.

Made his pro-wrestling debut in 1968.

Has held the WWF World Title, WWF Intercontinental Title WCW United States Tag Title, Mid Atlantic Tag Title AWF Tag Title, IWCCW Title, NWA United States Heavyweight Title (3 times) and NWA World Tag Title (3 times).

Was booked to become the WWF Heavyweight Champion, but when Hulk Hogan's popularity really took off, Vince McMahon let Hulk keep the belt.

Son of the late professional wrestling legend Johnny Valentine

In early 1982, was inadvertently awarded the WWF World Heavyweight Championship belt by a dazed referee, after winning a match vs. Bob Backlund by countout (under WWF rules, titles could not change hands on a countout). Valentine demanded a rematch, got it (it took place in a steel cage) ... and lost.

WWE Hall of Famer.

Is the fifth longest single reigning WWF Intercontinental Champion of all time. His reign lasted 9 months, 12 days.

Won Comeback Prowrestler of the Year Award [1992]

Fomer 2-time WWF Intercontinental Champion

Former WWF World Heavyweight Champion

Legally changed his name to Warrior, so he could own the rights to that name, thus able to continue his gimmick in any wrestling federation he chooses.

Invented the term, 'Warriorism'

Expecting 2nd child in December 2002.

Daughter, Indiana (Indy) Marin Warrior, born in 2000.

Won a 3 year long lawsuit vs. WWF/Titan Sports/Vince McMahon in 2000 regarding the use of his names "The Warrior" and "Ultimate Warrior". This particular dispute is why he felt the necessity to legally change his name to "Warrior".

Was a tag team partner with Steve "Sting" Borden from 1984 to 1986 as the Bladerunners. Warrior was then known as "Rock", Borden was called "Flash". Competed in World Class Championship Wrestling (home of the legendary Von Erich clan) under the name "The Dingo Warrior".

Was stripped of the WWF Intercontinental Championship after he won the WWF Championship at 'Wrestlemania VI'

Second daughter, Mattigan Twain Warrior, was born on 16th December 2002. She weighed 7lb 10oz.

Ex-wife Sherri was a stripper at the renowned Million Dollar Saloon in Dallas, Texas.

One of the longest-running pro wrestling myths states that Jim Hellwig is actually the second wrestler to portray the Ultimate Warrior, as the original died of steriod use in the 80s. Evidence used to support this myth is that the "second Warrior" had lighter hair, and was bulkier in physique. However, this is just one of many pro wrestling myths with little factual basis. Hellwig is the only wrestler to portay the Ultimate Warrior in any form.

With Nikolai Volkoff, won the WWF Tag Team Championships from Barry Windham and Mike Rotundo at the first WrestleMania, March 31, 1985 at Madison Square Garden. Lost the titles less than three months later to Windham and Rotundo.

Defeated Bob Backlund to win the WWF World Championship on Dec. 26, 1983, in Madison Square Garden, New York; Backlund (who had earlier injured his back, thanks to the Iron Sheik, on "WWF Championship Wrestling" a week earlier) was trapped in the camel clutch; Backlund's manager, Arnold Skaaland, threw in a towel and had the match stopped.

The Iron Sheik defended his title four times, with his best defense (according to Pro Wrestling Illustrated magazine) coming against Chief Jay Strongbow in Pittsburgh, Pa. On Jan. 14, 1984, wrestled Tito Santana to a double-disqualification at the Philadelphia (Pa.) Spectrum in his only other high-profile title defense.

Though a superb amateur and Olympic wrestler, in reality served as a transitional champion, losing his WWF title to the man who was destined for the gold all along, Hulk Hogan. His match against Hogan, on Jan. 23, 1984 at Madison Square Garden in New York, lasted less than six minutes; the Iron Sheik was only able to mount a brief offense, but there was no stopping Hogan on this night. The Iron Sheik would lose a series of rematches to Hogan.

Wrestled in the 1968 Olympics for Iran, where he won a gold medal in Freestyle Wrestling.

Wrestled in the "Gimmick Battle Royal" at Wrestlemania X-7, which he won

Wrestled in the main event of Summerslam 1991, teaming up with Sgt Slaughter and General Adnan to face Hulk Hogan and Ultimate Warrior in a handicap match

The Iron Sheik has trained Ricky Steamboat, Buck Zumhoff, Jim Brunzell and Greg Gagne and has also had a hand in training Bret Hart.

Notable Title Wins Include: PNW Tag Team titles; NWA British Empire Commonwealth Heavyweight title; NWA Pacific Northwest Heavyweight title; NWA Pacific Northwest Tag Team titles; NWA Canadian Heavyweight title (2); NWA Canadian Tag Team titles; NWA Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight title; NWA National Television title; WWF World Heavyweight title; WWF Tag Team titles w/Nikolai Volkoff

2005 inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame

His professional wrestling persona was inspired by Edward Farhat's character, The Sheik, who was regarded as one of professional wrestling's greatest, and therefore, most successful villains. His ring attire included wrestling boots with curled up toes like The Sheik's, and even used The Sheik's famous finishing hold, "The Camel Clutch." For his ring moniker he called himself "The Iron Sheik." Unlike other such ethnic "heels," he was actually from his alleged origin, Iran.

His trademark in the ring was biting off turnbuckles.

After years of wrestling as a "heel," Steele turned good in the fall of 1985, wherein during a six-man tag-team match, his partners the Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff turned against him. Fans took pity on Steele, who turned his character from a wild beast into a feral neanderthal-type who uttered one- and two-word sentences and evoked sympathy.

First wrestled as "The Student," a masked wrestler. A Pittsburgh, Pa., wrestling promoter gave Steele his most famous wrestling name, while fans nicknamed him "the Animal" for his naturally hairy body.

His green tongue was the result of eating green Clorettes candy before his matches.

His lisp (another one of his trademarks) was the result of a childhood football accident, wherein he nearly lost his tongue.

His most famous WWF feud was with Randy "Macho Man" Savage in 1986 and 1987. The feud, which centered on Steele's huge crush on Savage's manager, Miss Elizabeth, was originally intended to last three months. However, the "Beauty and the Beast" feud was such a hit it was extended through all of 1986 and into 1987. At one point, Steele teamed with Ricky "the Dragon" Steamboat, Hulk Hogan and former enemy Bruno Sammartino -- whom Steele nearly defeated for the WWWF title in a memorable 1970 steel cage match -- in tag team maches against Savage and a partner (usually "Adorable" Adrian Adonis).

In 1988, carried a hand-puppet called "Mine" to the ring, which he frequently used during his matches.

One of his trademarks, ripping apart ring turnbuckles and throwing the stuffing in his opponent's face, started during a match with Chief Jay Strongbow in the late 1960s. According to WWE Raw magazine, Steele recalled that the match was not going well when he looked at the turnbuckle and got an idea.

Played defensive tackle at Michigan State in the late 1950s.

Retired from full-time wrestling in 1989 after suffering from Chron's disease. He continued as a road agent and made occasional wrestling appearances.

When not wrestling, was a coach and physical education teacher at his alma mater in suburban Detroit. During the school year, he wrestled at various arena shows across Michigan.

His role in Ed Wood (1994) was that of another famous, and very similar professional wrestler, Tor Johnson (known in the ring as "The Super Swedish Angel"). Unlike his own wrestling character, he was able to speak for this role.

During his professional wrestling days, his colleagues regarded him as one of the strongest men in the ring.

For his role as Tor Johnson in "Ed Wood" (1994), he worked with a dialog coach for three weeks to recreate Johnson's Swedish accent.

Despite his size, he is very fast and agile. For his role as Tor Johnson in "Ed Wood" (1994), he was fitted with heavy shoes to slow him down and recreate Johnson's lumbering walk.

Member of the WWE Hall of Fame

On January 10, 2000, George Steele made his one and only appearance on WCW Television when he defeated Jeff Jarrett in a "bunkhouse brawl" with help from Arn Anderson & Chris Benoit.

John Minton, or Big John Studd as he would eventually be known, was born on February 19th, 1948, in Butler, Pennsylvania. He started training to be a professional wrestler under 'Walter 'Killer' Kowalski' at the age of 18. He first worked for the WWF (then the WWWF) under the name Chuck O'Connor, then as one of the Masked Executioners in 1976, leading to a Tag Team Title reign. He later went to Texas and became the masked Captain America, feuding with Fritz von Erich, Stan Hansen, and 'Andre the Giant' . It was in Texas that he picked up the Big John Studd moniker.

Later, he moved to Jim Crockett's Mid Atlantic territory where he feuded with Greg Valentine and fellow giant Blackjack Mulligan (Bob Windham). He retired from wrestling in the late 70s, but was talked into coming back as Ron Reis' tag team partner in The Giants tag team. He went to the AWA but was generally unhappy there. In the mid 80s the WWF, under 'Vince McMahon Jr.' took off, and Studd was along for the ride. He was always near the top of the card, feuding with the likes of Hulk Hogan and teaming with Ken Patera to cut off Andre's hair. In his most famous match, he took on Andre in a 15,000 dollar bodyslam challenge at the first _Wrestlemania (1985)_ . He retired again from pro wrestling, and got himself some acting gigs, including Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man (1991). Falling off a motorcycle while filming this movie and frequent steroid use probably both accelerated his Hodgkins Disease. Studd learned he had the disease in 1993 right after collapsing after his last match, against the Honky Tonk Man (Roy Farris). He spent 20 weeks in the hospital in 1994 (during which time he admitted under oath that he used steriods in the 80s during the WWF's steroid trial), and died from liver cancer on March 20th, 1995. He was 47 years old and left behind a wife and three children, John Jr., Janelle and Sean.
