Did you know? Up until now, 1498970 players have died on the pitch.
Warriors of Habberdale
Sam fought alongside of Steven, but couldn't stop the onslaught. He managed to escape and dragged Steven with him out of the fight. Since Steven didn't want to be captain, Sam took the role and now leads the small group in hopes of rebuilding their town and their lives. He is part of the original team.
In his third game, he dodges out of the tackle zone of a Hobgoblin and ran to the end zone where he recieved a long pass from Jessica. He scored the game's lone touchdown and won the game for the Warriors.
Steven lead the defense against the orcs at Habberdale. He did the best he could, but feels personally responsible. When asked what the band would do, Steven muttered Blood Bowl. Thus, it was his idea that the team was formed. But he doesn't like it. Even though he was and still is the best warrior of Habberdale, he refused the captainship, fearing he may make another fatal mistake... He is part of the original team.
Steven felt personally responsible for the death of Neal Gerhoff and the other injuries accumulated in the team's second game. He became very sad, although he was able to teach his sister how to block, after insisting that she protect herself having seen what happened to Neal.
In his third game, he fractured the arm of a hobgoblin, but the other team's apothecary worked. Still, this was Steven's first casualty and SPPs. He was still not satisfied with the carnage that he dealt in revenge of Neal.
When the battle started, Chris was sleeping at his home. He was woken up by the smell of fire and the screams of women and children. He immediatly got his things and escaped from the town. He joined the team in hopes that he could help repay his debt of not fighting. He is part of the original team.
And he has started to repay his debt. In his second game, he killed a Norse Lineman (apoth. worked) earning the team's first casualty. He then promised the team, which was in low spirits, that he would continue his bashing until he couldn't any longer.
After his hard work in the third game, Chris earned the MVP and learned how to knock the ball loose from a rushing player.
Mary, seeing her brother fight and lose in the battle, ran from the house against her mother's orders and escaped with the other combatants. When they formed the team, no one else in the group would volunteer to play on the team as a catcher, so Mary was forced to do so by her brother. She, being one of the youngest on the team (seventeen), resents the whole situation. She is having the hardest time adjusting. She is part of the original team.
Despite her resentful attitude, she came through big with the first score ever had by the team, and game-winning touchdown in a close game with orcs. The team has asked her if she has changed her mind about the situation, but with a sly smile, she remained silent.
Even though she spent most of the team's second game in the KOed box, she earned the game's MVP and her brother, as a reward, taught her how to block. She's turning out to be a decent Blood Bowl player, despite what she says, or wants!
Linus, only seventeen, originally volunteered for Lineman, but switched to catcher as soon as Mary became one. He figured that if they could practice together... He is part of the original team.
With Mary watching from the KOed box, Linus sacrificed his body over and over again and was finally punished for it. Despite scoring the team's lone touchdown in the game, he sprained his groin in the team's second match and would have to miss the next one. But he didn't mind because Mary paid extra attention to him resulting from his injury.
Jessica was picking flowers at the time of the battle. When she neared the town and saw it was destroyed, she ran away only to be found by the surviviers. Since she turned out to be the best thrower they had, she became a thrower. She is part of the original team.
In the first game, she sacrificed her body the entire time, again and again, to stall up opposing players. It eventually paid off as the team won the match and she earned an MVP!
In her second game, she threw the team's lone touchdown, and thus became a more accurate thrower as a result. This was the team's first learned skill.
She completed the game winning long pass to Steven in the third game, thus winning the match, after picking it up from a throw-in. After the game, she had to take Alex Forthmire under her wing and teach him how to play Blood Bowl. Although Alex doesn't like being taught by "some girlie" and thinks he is better than Jessica, she doesn't mind teaching him because she has a lot of patience and she belives that having the extra thrower around for when she cannot play is a great idea.
Dustin was held from the battle by his girlfriend who didn't want him to get hurt. But when the orcs came to the door, they killed his girlfriend and took him as prisoner. He managed to escape and join the others. He now serves as their lineman, trying to forget about his beloved. He is part of the original team.
After three games of being forced doing Line of Scrimage duty, Dustin became good friends with Igor Felling and Danny Seahan, the two other team members who served Line of Scrimage duty too. The three of them became known to the team as "The Trio". He may be the youngest of The Trio, but he provides the group's humor. The others have tried to help him cope with the loss of his beloved, but he still is in mourning. However, he always tries to lighten up the mood with a good joke.
Before the destruction of Habberdale, Peter was a street cleaner. Not a very respectable job. He is not very smart or courageous and has no battle experience. He didn't fight in the battle, but ran away when it first started. Peter was too nervous to volunteer to be a lineman when the team first formed. But, after Neal Gerhoff was killed in the team's second game, Peter was given a tough choice: to either watch the few survivers of his town struggle to survive or step up and put his own health on the line. He chose the right thing, but is still quite fearful of the game.
Igor, a lumberjack, fought hard throughout the battle, but ran after the others fled. He volunteered to be a lineman. He is part of the original team.
After three games of sharing Line of Scrimage duty with them, Igor has become close friends with Dustin Jacobson and Danny Seahan, and they have become known to the team as "The Trio". He is the oldest of The Trio, but provides experience and a few wise words to the bunch. He is the group's go-to-guy. If Danny or Dustin have a problem, they find Igor and he helps them with it. He also tells long ranting stories about his ancestors, which the other two love to hear.
Danny didn't live in Habberdale. In fact, he worked and lived in a port along the cost and was just visiting his family. But he got caught up in the fray. Trying to help his elderly mother escape, he had to fend off an orc by himself, but he was knocked down and his mother was killed. He quickly got up and killed the orc, but found that any further resistance was useless and ran away. He met up with the other survivers and was guilted into joining them. He is part of the original team.
After going three games and being forced into Line of Scrimage duty, in which almost every time he has been knocked down immediately, he has really bonded with Igor Felling and Dustin Jacobson, who also have Line of Scrimage duty. The three of them have bonded and become known to the team as "The Trio". Although Danny once thought about leaving the team and resuming his normal life, now that he has become close friends with the others of The Trio, he has vowed to stay. The team envies him though as he is the only one amongst them that has a normal life waiting for them. Still, Dustin and Igor stick up for Danny when the team picks on him, and Danny is really grateful that they treat him with respect when the others are just plain jealous and nasty.
Peter, who was the town baker, was forced to fight the orcs. But he went down early, knocked out by a big black orc's backhand swing. When he woke, he found that he had survived and ran away to find refuge, only to have the others find him. He of course volunteered to be a lineman becasue he was one of the few able bodied men in the group. He is part of the original team.
When Peter Scabbard joined the team, he was outraged by many things. For one, he didn't want any other person with the name Peter to join because he was the only Peter. Another one was that he thought the other Peter was a coward for not fighting the orcs back at Habberdale or volunteering to play when the team first formed. He was also disgusted that Peter was a streat cleaner. He resents Peter Scabbard and hopes he gets what he "deserves".
Alex found the team after they had already played three games. He had been wandering around the countryside after the attack, looking for something to do with his life. He fought with Steven and Sam, but ran when the others ran. He finally found the other survivers and joined them as a thrower. He feels he is the best thrower of the survivers and is out to prove he is better than Jessica. He is really just a young kid, ousting Mary as the youngest, at 15 years of age.
