In his 18th game against Sins of Slaanesh, Smegugh gave an awesome performance. The match was going very badly, having conceded a lucky touchdown at the end of a hard fought first half and down to 8 players.
In the second half Smegugh successfully cleared a path towards the opposing endzone only for our thrower, Yolmar Vurbag to make a series of cock-ups and lose the ball to the opposition. The fearless Smegugh ran back to save the situation. He ran into a lot of players around the halfway line, but successfully dodged through 2 tackle zones and blitzed the beastman 2 squares from our endzone to free the ball. For the next 2 turns he held his ground and kept the ball safe despite being assaulted by 3 beastmen.
Help arrived in the form of Wudugog Borug and the disgraced Yolmar who had been lying on the ground out for the count. Smegugh and Wudagog successfully cleared the beastmen from the ball and Yolmar made some amends by fetching it and passing upfield to secure a touchdown and draw the match just as time ran out. Evil Gobsplat sacked Yolmar immediately after the game, there is no place for such losers in the Rams. Smegugh was made team captain for his efforts.
Despite hitting 124 blocks in his first 20 games, Smegugh still hasn't managed to cause a single casualty. He even trained in the art of Mighty Blow after his 11th game, but to no avail. Evil Gobsplat, the Rams long standing coach is getting rather worried that his team captain is a bit of a softy. If Smegugh doesn't start dishing out out some pain soon his position might be in jeopardy...
Not to fear.. in his 23rd game, his first game leading the Rams in a smack tournament, Smegugh caused a casualty at last, injuring a human catcher! In the next game, he went on to cause 2 casualties, badly hurting a rather dangerous werewolf and a dirty fouling zombie! In the final, Smegugh pushed a ST4 ghoul off the pitch, a move that ended any hopes of victory for the opposition. With this superb string of performances, Smegugh has lead the Rams to their first Smack title and assured his position as captain of the Rams.
