Eldar Phoenix

Erren is beginning to realise his potential right now, having put in 9 solid performances for the team, his seventh was a personal triumph involving a completion, and intercept and a td - how he was overlooked for the mvp is a mystery. In his career he has averaged more than 6 blocks a match, including 3 absolute rippers that resulted in injuries for his opponents. He is a solid performer and a defensive workhorse and Head Coach Fezdan has predicted that Errin has the demeanor to go all the way to stardom, providing he stays alive and avoids injury that is.

Tarrant, currently captain of the team, has recently been given the nickname 'CHOKER' by his team mates. He has failed to make a completion since his very first game, despite numerous opportunities and attempts. He was the victim of several blitzes and perfect defences which have placed him under considerable pressure on the field, pressure he has so far been unable to handle. Head Coach Fezdan has hired the services of a specialist sports Mindbender (Psionic Healer), to get into Tarrant's head and mentally cauterize this propensity to panic and fumble. The team remains confident that the choking will be overcome.

NEW INFO - The investment in a Mindbender seems to have been a wise choice with Tarrants last game showing signs of much improvement. Despite a couple of fumbles early on he managed 2 completions including a long bomb for a td as well as a last second interception to save the draw. It was no suprise he was awarded the mvp for the Phoenixes.

Every coach knows that every team needs one player for whom the rules and honour of the game don't apply. Understandably such players are hard to find among the honour-bound High Elves and Head Coach Fezdan had to search far and wide to find a player like Larch. Dredged from the gutters of a particularly corrupt and bloody border town, Larch is a mean, conniving low-life who is so obviously bereft of the usual elven nobility that his heritage had to be magically confirmed before HECOPAC would allow him to play. His violent and corrupt impulses are kept in line by the offer of huge pay and bonuses if he follows the coaches instructions. To date those instructions are - don't foul unless fouled first.

Sten's father was drunken gambler, who frittered away the Starheart family fortune on wine, women and large bets on bbl matches. Sten has been forced to seek stardom in bbl to rebuild the Starheart fortune. He has been a solid performer who has worked hard to develop a tactical kicking game. Head Coach Fezdan, and indeed Sten himself, hopes this will grant the Phoenixes an important field position advantage.

Bran joined the Phoenixes for just 1 reason - glory. He comes from a wealthy and influential family and does not need money. So far he has performed reliably for the Phoenixes and has managed to produce some powerful blocks on his opponents. Head Coach Fezdan would like to see him get more involved with the ball in future.

Mars comes from a long line of bbl players. His father, Marik Moontower, was a veteran lineman with the Ulthuan Undertakers and played nearly 40 matches before having his neck broken on the LOS by an enraged halfling. Up until recently, Mars (just like his faher) has been an LOS monkey, spending good percentages of each drive face down in the turf (just like his father!). His recent improvement in form should, he hopes, allow Head Coach Fezdan to give him a more senior role in defense.

Lune is the second son of a mid-ranking noble family and his father and elder brother are scholars - both of whom despise the game for its senseless violence and lack of intellectual rigour. Since joining the Phoenixes Lune's family have disowned him and he has never been happier. "Fellfist" is of course his professional name - his agent felt that his real name - Lune Quillmaster - would not make an intimidating or saleable name for a bbl player! Scoring a td in his 1st match and a mvp in his 2nd, Head Coach Fezdan is expecting big things from him in the future. Lune has continued his run of form with a completion in 3rd match, 2 casualties in his 4th and an astonishing 3 casualties in his 7th match. Rapidly becoming the Phoenixes most talked about player.

After 4 matches without touching the ball, Ariel has begun to show why Head Coach Fezdan had so much faith in him - with 3 td's and the mvp in his 4th match. He has undergone a lot of speed training over the last week so expect to see him cover even more ground next game.
