Called "Blackjack" because much of his gang's business is run through an old, rundown casino named The Blackjack. He doesn't actually own this casino, but he's intimidated the owner enough to the point where him and his gang pretty much have their run of the place whenever it is needed.

Funded and financed the Syndicate's Bloodbowl team after his right-hand man, Ace, suggested it and did much of the recruitment involved. Has thus far found the team to be quite profitable, and has no plans of retirement.

Occupation: 2nd in command, Slade Crime Syndicate

It was Ace's idea to form a Bloodbowl team from the gang's more violent members, and he did much of the footwork in gathering players from neighboring criminal organizations.

He is somewhat of an enigma, and it isn't clear what exactly he's made to do or how he earned his position as Blackjack Slade's right hand. It's been speculated that he is, in fact, Blackjack's personal assassin, and several connections have been made with disappearances of the gang's enemies and Ace just happening to've passed by at the time.

Occupation: Highwayman

Theodore ("Teddy Bear") Hendrick runs with a small contingent of rogues and highwaymen, some of whom were convinced to join with the Slades' Bloodbowl team by "Ace" Mason. He was skeptical at first, but turned out to have a particular knack for the sport, and soon joined the team's starting lineup.

The Bear has worked in the weightroom almost nonstop since joining the team, and even at a glance one can tell it's paid off. Hendrick is positively ripped with muscle!

Age: 25
Occupation: Con Artist, Smuggler

Ever the snappy dresser, "One-eye" Daniels was named as such because he always has an eye on passing ladies, and thus, has only one eye to direct to everything else.

Some of his greatest heists have failed, in fact, due to distraction by a member of the fairer sex, and he is often criticized despite his ingenius planning and quickness with a blade because many feel he "thinks with the wrong head".

Blackjack Slade has, in fact, considered benching him should a matchup against an Amazon team arise.

Knuckles is a bouncer and security officer for the Blackjack casino.

The Slades assure him that Bloodbowl is all just a part of the duties involved in being a bouncer, and don't pay him anything - the owner of the casino, and not the Slades, pays his actual salary for being a bouncer.

Kayla was best known for her good looks prior to swindling her former ship's captain and its entire crew, then making off with all of the recently-procured loot from a rather profitable raid on a port city. She has never disclosed why.

No one on the team really trusts her for this reason.

Agreed to play for the team for relatively low pay, as she has enough money to last her many years. She's requested that she be protected by the Slade family, however, as she fears members of her former crew may come for her someday.

Occupation: Mercenary, Bounty Hunter

Best known for being a crack-shot with a crossbow, Jason was a natural for other long-range endeavours, like throwing the football. Blackjack hired him on with a considerable bonus over the team's linemen.

Age: 24
Occupation: Freelance Thief, Locksmith and Burglar

Occasionally employed by the Slade Family, Anthony has done several jobs with Kendra Slade, typically breaking the locks and clearing rooms of valuables while she has a mark distracted.

Joined the team alongside Kendra after receiving a sizeable signing bonus.

Age: 19
Occupation: Spy - Slade Crime Syndicate

Kendra's speed and quick hands made her ideal for a position as a receiver on the team, and her close relationship with Blackjack made it too hard for her to say no, despite the danger of death or injury on the Bloodbowl field.

Since joining with "Evil" Anthony, however, she's actually had a good deal of fun amidst the brutality all around.
