Hekate, coming from the long forgotten kingdom of Lagina, named herself after an ancient goddess of sorcery and witchcraft, once known widely as the invincible queen of the dead. She is by far the oldest vampire and surrounded by an arcane and enigmatic aura. Thus it is whispered that her true origins are actually the mystic realms of Daemogorgon. As Hekate disappears from time to time without even her fellow vampires knowing beforehand, therefore missing one or the other match, it could be that she returns to Daemogorgon then. If Hekate plays, however, she is undoubtedly one of the best bloodbowl players ever. While her strength matches that of an ogre, she is as agile as an elf at the same time, not to speak of her skills, which make her the perfect allrounder.
Hekate is the undisputed team captain.

Nantosvelta, coming from the long forgotten kingdom of Mag Mór, named herself after an ancient goddess of rivers, rivers whose waters carry the souls of the dead to the underworld. Water is often seen as the cornucopia, bestowing life and fertility, but water can bring death and decay with inevitable force as well. Like this, Nantosvelta is gentle, yet powerful. Her strength easily matches that of an ogre, while she is more sensible, agile and, spoken generally, more versatile than any big guy.
Nantosvelta could be the second in command after Hekate, but she rather chose to take a back seat and hand this duty over to Nemesis, who enjoys taking centre stage anyway.

Watching Theophrastus Paracelsus, Samuel de Osmin and Rah-Omir Musallam, Josephus became jealous of their privileged live and decided to train as hard as them. He gained a strength increase after some real hard sessions and won the favour of his mistresses, now being the fourth thrall not called by his number but by his name. However, he overdid it and got a damaged back as a result of excessive weightlifting, so Josephus has to miss a match once in a while due to the niggling pain.
After Rah-Omir saw how privileged Theophrastus Paracelsus and Samuel de Osmin became after working hard to gain strength, he threw himself into his training sessions. Now he's the third thrall called by his named rather than his number by his mistresses. Unlike Samuel, he's quite happy with his new position and has no ambitions of challenging Theophrastus, however.
After Theophrastus Paracelsus was appointed foreman and privileged, Samuel trained, fired by ambition, all day and night, until his strength matched that of Theophrastus. Now Samuel is almost as privileged as Theophrastus and is called by his name rather than his number by his mistresses. Still, he is not satisfied yet and wants to replace Theophrastus as foreman.
