Grimm has been nicknamed "The Elf" by his team mates, as he is the only player on the team to have completed a pass! The fact that he was mearely throwing the ball to one side so he could stamp on an Amazon is neither here nor there - the fact is the ball was caught (by Coalscuttle Cris), the feat earned him the MVP for the match and the seeds of Grimm's Elfbowl humiliation were sown.
As if to prove a point, Grimm went on to score 3 casualties in his next game, which also happened to be the final of the Hardupp Cupp - thus securing his status as a Paupers legend.

It's fair to say that Slimm hadn't really been pulling his (quite considerable) weight for the Paupers in their first season, until he proved himself by scoring important casualties in the quater and semifanls and two in the final to make him one of the teams big performers and crowd favourites.
HCII Slimm started as he means to go on, causing another two casualties in the first game of the new Cupp to become The Paupers top scorer!

After winning the Hardupp Cupp, Strika decided to give up playing to open an exclusive bar called "STRIKA's" on the west coast. Unfortunately his entry policy - only dead people called Strika were allowed in - made it a bit too exclusive and he lost everything. He is now back in the Paupers setup to pay off all his depts.
In the first game of HCII, Strika cheated death by regenerating after a Faule Feiglinge beastman Malaria Mikeknocked off his head! Strika now has a new purpose - he will not rest until he has killed the cheeky hoved git in battle! Revenge!

Scorer of the first ever Paupers touchdown against Gorgeous George And His Band
He also finished the first season as the Paupers top casualty taker, with 5 in the Hardupp Cupp winning campaign. Four of those coming in the last 2 games, which he attributed to lengthly sessions at the gym. "I worked very hard on the ol' wieght until my blow was pretty darn mighty"", he says.

Cris was the Paupers player of the tournament in the very first Hardupp Cupp, scoring 7 touchdowns over the course of the competition including the nail-biting overtime winner in the final game. At the time of writing he is the Hardupp Cupp all time leading scorer and fan favourite. We love Coalscuttle Cris!
Larry didn't have the best of starts to his Paupers career - badly hurt early on in the first game of HCII against Faule Feiglinge.
He as now gained the nickname Larry "the rather breakable" chap.

Ginger is the unofficial fouler of the Paupers. The team had never really used fouling as a valid tactic before Ginge, keen to make the most of a rare chance to play, killed Sally in a vicious attack.

As The Paupers celebrated their triumphant Hardupp Cupp win in front of their adoring fans, even the most hardcore supporter could have been forgiven for not recognising the enigmatic Chaz. Although with the team since it's inception, Chaz spends most of his time warming the subs bench. But he is very good at it, so thats ok.

Winner of the title "favourite zombie" after the Hardupp Cupp, Sammy's high casualty count has made him a cult figure in the tiny world of Paupers supporters.
Plus for a shiny sixpence he'll shine your shoes.

He's got a Hardupp Cupp winner's medal, but no one can really think what contribution Andy made to the campain apart from running around "looking like he was trying very hard". Maybe now Harry The Snapp has retired Any will get more of a chance to shine. Don't hold your breath.
Hardupp Cupp II - And he scores in the first game! True, the TD really belonged to Coalscuttle Cris, but the Paupers top scorer graciously handed the ball to Andy to finish the job. Andy was so suprised he almost dropped the ball, but regained his wits in time to walk in the winner. Could this be the start of something great?

Martha used to play for Zon Baron, The Paupers' opponents in the semifinal of the very first Hardupp Cupp. Very pretty she is too.
Despite entering the Paupers setup late on, she made her mark on the final by scoring an important casualty and then niggling the Beerdrinkers' Mino with a sneaky foul that proved vital. A big game player? Only time will tell...
