Skavenpit Stranglers
Captain of the Stranglers, Slit has recently moved up from the Skavenblight amateur league - His black fur and manic personality are considered promising traits in a team captain, and he has earned the commentator nickname "Mad Rat" because of the way he gets worked up when playing, screaming chittering curses at opposition and team members alike!
Trivia:
-His most distinguished moment as of yet was dismembering and eating a halfling lineman in the recent game against the Halfting-Treeman team Killfest 2006!
- Is the Stranglers player that has suffered the most injuries, having broken both his arms and ankles numerous times. The fact that he remembers a sterling blood bowl player is generally credited to the efficiency of the SS apotecary staff.
Possessed of a hulking build and scabrous black fur, he alledgedly earned his nickname because of a Sigmarite referee ordering the Stranglers' head coach to "remove that vile psychotic vermin" from his pitch during a training match against the Carroburg Crusaders.
Queek is considered the mainstay of the Stranglers' defense plays, and it is generally recognized that it is hard to escape his claws, even for fast players.
The solid, if unimpressive, first thrower of the Stranglers line-up. He has good aim and prefers to throw short to medium range passes - If he bothers to throw the ball at all! His love of beating heads has caused him to forget about the ball on several occasions, prompting a heated "talk" with the Stranglers head coach.
As one of the original line-up members, Skund Mors is a proficient blood bowler, and has scored the winning goal in the Stranglers one won match! He is outshined by his brother Warg, however, and seems more professional than passionate about the sport.
Brother of #4, Skund Mors, Warg is possessed by an incredibly foul temper.
Credited with knocking out the towering Flesh Golem blocker Sobek of the Gods of Ancient Egypt - Unassisted!
Trivia:
- Is the Strangler player that has inflicted the most casualties.
- Seems to have adapted well to a running game, being both faster and nimbler than his fellow linemen. This has made the Stranglers' coach attempt to train him as a running back, but the endavour has so far proven hard due to his psychotic hatred of opposition players and tendency to stick in blocking fights.
An Eshin gutter runner on his way to adepthood, "Greased Fur" is perhaps the fastest player on the entire Stranglers team! Possessed of good stamina and sturdy lungs, Vorquol is considered one the best and brightest gutter runners in the line-up.
Trivia:
- Has repeatedly been fed warpstone by the Stranglers' coach in an attempt to make him develop extra and/or longer legs - unfortunately, all this has resulted in so far is unsightly buboes and a vile odour!
Pass
Sure Hands
Strong Arm
The back-up thrower of the Stranglers. St'za has developed an unually strong right arm, and his Clan Mors masters expect him to become a star thrower with time!
Although a replacement for the late Tiqoul "Lightning Bolt" Vorzak, Lurk has quickly advanced in the team; becoming a top-notch 'runner with a rushing touchdown under his belt already!
Recently, however, his luck seems to have run out. Against the ubiqitous Orc team Neck Chewers, his ankle got broken and have slowed him down for good.
