Late in the match against the fairies, Artie managed to bring down the ball carrier alone, just yards from the end zone, then carry it back upfield and pass to Bucky Sweets for the winning touchdown, saving the game and the Fumbleoos' chances for advancing.

Roger was the worst producer on the team during the qualifying round, accounting for nothing more than three blocks in as many games, a bpg matched only by the three lost halflings, yet he inexplicably earned the MVP in his second match. To be fair, all three blocks came in that game. He sat the bench for much of game 1 and was carted off the field early in game 3 after he was injured dodging away from some slaves.

With Terry Bumblefoot removed from play due to injury, and Artie Leech forced to miss a game, Bucky Sweets emerged at the head of his team, carrying in the winning touchdown against the fairies and the tying TD and the MVP in the match against the slaves.

In the match against the slaves, Roland was almost killed in the early going by a poison wind globe. He had already badly hurt one slave, but after the apothecary used the magical Breath of Life on him, he was filled with rage, and blitzed another to start the second half, badly hurting him as well. He then seriously injured a third slave just before the Fumbleoos scored their third and final touchdown.

The second of three replacements, Mort contributed by moving the ball on the ground and in the air, and providing blocking to help his teammates take and hold the lead.
