Clan Rigens Raiders
What can be said about Skewer Seer-Eye, team captain of The Clan Rigens Raiders? Number one draft pick from the Grey Seer College of Applied Decay with a degree in Plauge Management, Skewer was a born leader. Playing for the Grey Seer Prognosticators for four full years as team captain he broke many of the esteemed schools passing records.
The strong and handsome (for a Skaven) leader was a cool headed field general, and Rat Davis, owner of the Raiders, knew he had what it would take to lead the Clan to victory on the Blood Bowl field.
"He's got moxie!" was how the legendary owner summed up his feelings about Skewer.
In his off time, Skewer likes to contibute to the community leading midnight raids against the foul surface dwellers and coaching ratlings on weekends in junior Blood Bowl leagues.
When Skaven talk about Rusty Redvermin, they talk about dedication. A former Shockvermin for the rampaging warrior clans of Thrott the Unclean, Rusty showed a talent for wanton violence.
Drafted third overall in '03 by the Raiders, Rusty has proven a steady and resourceful Blood Boowl player. A locker room leader, Rusty leads by example and it's not uncommon to see him lounging in the Raiders players facility watching Crystal Ball replays in an effort to refine his game.
Coaches and fans alike are excited about what Rusty can do for the Raiders and looking forward to seeing him make an impact on the team!
Orignally a drafted as a late round pick to play linerat for the '98 Raiders, Fester's development was slow, until he found his niche originally as the teams specialist kicker. For three seasons he was a solid linerat and his coaches knew they could count on him for a critical block, or a precision coffin corner kick.
Tradgedy struck when Fester was mauled by a raging Minotaur in the '02 season and his leg was broken. Many of the clans Seers said he would never be of use to the clans again and should be killed and eaten....but Fester wouldn't accept this!
Fester escaped the Eshin assasins and in seclusion managed to regain the use of his leg. With a furious training regime he showed up to Raiders training camp in the best shape of his career and with extra muscle added. He impressed coaches so much they made him a first team Storm Vermin. This season Fester intends to prove once and for all that he has what it takes to be a star!
Snarky is a rat's rat. A true student of the game of Blood Bowl, Snarky tries to elevate his game on every possession. Though he lacks the flair and personality of his team mate Squeeky, Snarky prides himself on his mental game!
"Snarky has the ability to get inside opponents heads, with his sharp and witty remarks and strategically applied smack talk," team mate Skewer Seer-Eye had to say.
Who could forget in the Chaos Cup semi-finals in '02, how Snarky had made a comment on the kick off too Grashnack Blackhoof about his mother's udders that sent the star Minotaur flying into a rage....sure, he ran over team mate Fester Nosecheese, but he also went through most of his team and into the stands clearing out most of the hostile Chaos fans, allowing the Raiders to win in overtime.
"Look y'all, I got the flash, but Snarky's got the game!" Squeeky McCheese said to sum up his team mate.
Flashy, arrogant, and perhaps a bit of a primadonna, are many words you can use to describe Squeeky McCheese, but you'd also have to throw in there.....GAMER!
Squeeky is without a doubt one of the most explosive talents to arrive on the Blood Bowl scene in years. His combination of skill, talent and flair made him an instant fan favorite among the Raider Nation. Though sometimes surrounded by contreversey, when Squeeky pulls on the cloak and laces up the pads, he's out for one thing....to score Touchdowns.
He and Skewer Seer-Eye have formed a unique bond and they seem to share an almost symbiotic relationship, although they haven't always seen eye to eye, they definitely respect each other.
A real ladies rat, Squeeky's off field antics have gotten him in trouble before and it is rumored that he's fathered numerous litters of ratlings all under the old world, which have led to various paternity suits....which is why it's a good thing he makes so much! Its hard to feed several hundred little ratlings!
Snidely Whiskers is without a doubt....the dirtiest player on the Raiders. Known to be an innovater of low and underhanded tactics, even old Split consults with Snidley regarding the proper application of a foul in a crucial match or what the right dosage of Morley's laxatives to apply to the opponents water jug.
Snidely was being groomed to join the ranks of Clan Eshin, but he found his talents were better utilised on the Blood Bowl field. Snidely has an almost uncanny ability to be in the right place at the right time to give a low blow on a block, or kick a player when he's down.
A role player, he doesn't get much attention from the fans, but his presence is definitely felt by his team mates.
"He's really a bastard...but that's a good thing on this team!" complimented Rusty Redvermin.
Fink Crawly, is one of those players you can't help but like! Though not a favorite of fans, Fink is the locker room practical joker, and is always good for keeping things light in the dugout during games....which is a good thing..considering how much time he spends there...
Fink has only one shortcoming....he hates pain. Crawly is always complaining of pains and aches and all things considered, he has no problem with holding the coaches clipboard.....something that irritates head coach Split Tendoncutter to no end.
Nevertheless, Fink goes out there when he has to and usually just tries to avoid getting hit...nevermind even getting the ball.
"Hey...I just want to survive the season!" Crawly said once in an interview.
We hope he does!
