Avery Holden is by far the biggest star of the team. Scoring ten touchdowns in his first consecutive eight games he has been a role model to the newer catchers of the team, and a most popular figure among the fans.
His ability to stay on his feet and outmaneuver the opposing defense has a tendecy to make him the prime target for the final pass, but far too often the ability to deliver the pass has hindered his winning touchdown. This combination of brilliant catching skills and poor passing skills have made the team underperform and achieving no less than 6 draws in 14 games.
In his later matches Avery's role has changed to a more free role. He no longer is a catcher only, but has a tendency to be the blitzer in many situations. His speed and agile manner gets him into those situations where no other ape may reach. Nor wish wish to reach. It's a wonder he's still alive.
One of the teams earliest aquirements he still haven't learned much. He sure is a slow learner.
The fans have a song for mr. Fodder. It goes like this.
He's our guy, mr. Fodder.
He'll make no one shudder.
He's just Cannon Fodder.
But they like him anyway.

Urgh is the teams newly aquired star to be.
He's not really decendent from apes, though. He's still and ape.
