In Anger Managment (2003) Sandler plays Dave Buznik.

Dave Buznik a hardworking businessman with a pacifistic nature that has often gotten the best of him, often causing him to avoid conflict whenever possible. But a simple misunderstanding aboard an airplane quickly escalates into a legal nightmare for Dave. As a consequence of the incident, the only way for Biznik to dodge jail time is to seek the help of a very unlikely anger management instructor by the name of Dr. Buddy Rydell (played by legend jack Nicholson). The good doctor's unorthodox methods and his own way of acting border is borderline psychotic, but may be Dave's only solution to a problem that has put him in a position as a stepping stone his entire life.

2004 Adam Sandler played Longfellow Deeds, a small-town pizzeria owner and poet who inherits $40 billion from his deceased uncle, and quickly begins rolling in a different kind of dough. Moving to the big city, Deeds finds himself besieged by opportunists all gunning for their piece of the pie. Babe, a television tabloid reporter (played by Winona Ryder), poses as an innocent small-town girl to do an exposé on Deeds. Of course, Deeds' sincere naiveté has Babe falling in love with him instead. Ultimately, Deeds comes to find that money truly has the power to change things, but it doesn't necessarily need to change him. The film also features a truly marvelous performance by John Turturro as the creepy butler Emilio "Do not underestimate my sneakiness" Lopez.

Barry Egan is Sandler's character from the 2002 movie "Punch-Drunk Love".

The movie centers around Barry Egan, a socially impaired small business owner who is continually hounded by his seven sisters. Their abuse has kept him alone and unlikely to find romance unless romance finds him. In an attempt to resolve his loneliness, while having a vulnerable moment, Barry contacts a phone sex operator who, in turn threatens him with blackmail. Connected to a larger business network, the operator send some thugs on a mission from Utah to California, to follow, scare, and extort Barry. Barry becomes desperate, until a new door opens in his life.

One odd morning a harmonium first appears in the street then a striking mysterious young woman (played by Emily Watson) asks for his help with her car. It is all the work of one of his sisters who fixes him up with the lovely young English woman, Lena, who has rather quirky qualities herself.

Barry's emotions go haywire, fluctuating between lust, self-doubt, and uncontrollable rage. Nonetheless, he will embark upon whatever adventure it takes, just to have a shot at true romance.

Sandler played character John Clasky in the 2004 movie "Spanglish".

When a Mexican mother and her daughter come to Los Angeles from Mexico in hopes of finding a better life the mother, Flor Moreno, (wonderfully played by Paz Vega), gets a job as a maid at the home of a successful chef John Clasky, his insecure wife Deborah (Téa Leoni), their two children, and Deborah's mother (Cloris Leachman).

Despite Flor's lack of an English language vocabulary, she tries the best she can to assist the Clasky family in more than just house cleaning matters. However, when Flor is forced to live with the family over the summer, she has no choice but to bring her daughter, Cristina (Shelbie Bruce) along. Deborah, much to Flor's disliking, treats Flor's daughter much like her own and at the same time she hurts the feelings of her own daughter, Bernice (Sarah Steele), as well as Flor.

When John's dreams begin to unravel, he begins to feel like his whole world is coming down around him, but with the love of his children and with the help of Flor, he finds himself trying to get through it all. Flor's daughter Cristina, through which this gripping story is told in a college letter to Princeton University, serves as a translator for the beginning of the film, but after Flor breaks the communication bridge by learning to speak English, Cristina must learn that things come and go in life, but family is the most important thing a person can have.

The result is a wittily perceptive collision of cultures and values, and a refreshingly honest look at such life-altering commitments as marriage, parenting and devotion to family...
