Born in 1956, in Tokyo. Iron Chef Kenichi was first known for his father's legacy. His father introduced Chinese Szechwan cooking to Japan. Kenichi learned this Japanese style of Szechwan from his father and used it to his advantage during his tenure as Iron Chef Chinese. Chen Kenichi is also knows as "The Szechwan Sage."
Born in 1931, in Ishikawa Prefecture. Iron Chef Michiba was undoubtedly one of the strongest of the Iron Chefs. He did not believe in borders in his cooking, so while his style was Japanese, he would use ingredients from many other countries. This risky technique helped him prevail over many worthy foes. Michiba is also known as "The god of Japanese Cuisine" and "The rebel of the culinary world."
