Warrior Gangs
The Turnbulls are the first gang The Warriors encounter. The Warriors have to run away from them at Gunhill, (The Bronx) to get on the train home. The Turnbulls are a mixed bunch who hang around on old school buses that have been painted green. They carry chains and planks of wood for weapons.
After The Warriors escape from the Turnbull AC's, they think they are home free. Unfortunately, a train station is on fire forcing The Warriors to walk through Tremont which is the turf of the Orphans. The Orphans are not very well known (and are very low class), and didn't even know about the big meeting up at The Bronx and are not on the Riff's network. They are armed with razor blades. Mercy decides to leave the Orphans and join The Warriors.
The Baseball Furies are one of the most feared gangs. Swan, Ajax, Snowball and Cowboy run straight into these guys after running away from the cops. The Furies wear baseball gear and carry baseball bats which they are keen to swing in Riverside Park.
This all-female gang is waiting at Union Square station when Vermin, Cochise and Rembrandt arrive. They end up going back to The Lizzies flat. The Warriors are seduced, except Rembrandt who suspects that something is going on. At the flat, the The Lizzies suddenly lock the door and announce that The Warriors shot Cyrus which is when they find out that they were framed. The Lizzies try to shoot them but only manage to cut Rembrandt's arm with a knife.
The Rogues appear throughout the movie as Luther , was the one who shot Cyrus. He framed The Warriors for the crime and for the rest of the night they are on the hunt to kill The Warriors. The Rogues are not the smartest bunch and come from Hells Kitchen in Manhattan!
The (Gramercy) Riffs are the largest gang in the city and Cyrus was their leader until he got shot. Understandably, they want to find those responsible and bring them to justice. Masai became the leader when Cyrus died.
The Jones Street Boys from Bensonhurst, Brooklyn can be seen at the big meeting and wear black and yelow striped tops.
These guys are easy to spot in the park, thanks to their bright yellow tops! Also only seen at the big meeting at the start of the film.
