Frost Legion
Frost Touch was the nickname of the Frost Legion's Thrower. Named for his poor ball handling skills, Frost Touch is determined to gain vengance on all those who ever doubted his skills. Now tougher than ever before, Frost Touch intends to bring the cold touch of death to all his opponents.
Originally a Runner for the Frost Legion, Wintersbite began strapping on the armor of his fallen opponents in order to stay warm during the great blizzard. Following the trauma of the ordeal of the blizzard and the transformation, many of his memories were lost. Knowing only how to play the game, he chose the name of Wintersbite, swearing that he would share his experiences with all he could.
An original member of the Frost Legion, Sleet gained noteriety for his sucess, dispite the lack of accomplishments. Voted "Most Valuable Player" for both of the first two games, there is wide speculation that the selection was rigged. Further evedence of Sleet's underhandedness is shown in his skills at playing dirty... Everyone is eager to see what Sleet is up to next.
Amon-Sul began as Arnor, a young and entusiastic player for the Hammerbolts, the local Norse rivals of the Frost Legion. As his fame grew Arnor retired to take up coaching. Eventually rising to become head coach of the Hammerbolts, he lead the team into the ill fated "blizzard game". Arnor survived all challenges to his leadership, including a battle to the death with the Frost Legion coach. Following his victory (and the delicious meal afterwards), Arnor accepted Loviatar's suggestion of undead transformation. The dark gods, pleased with his actions, brought Arnor back with renewed strength and vigor. In a gesture of respect to the dark gods, the Frost Legion, and his old team, Arnor took to the field again under the name of Amon-Sul (Weathertop in ancient Norse).
Everyone knows that Blood Bowl cheerleaders are a cut above the masses. Loviatar was one of the best cheerleaders around. She liberally used every skill at her disposal to insure her survival through the great blizzard. For months, she kept people's hopes up while selecting who should be eaten next. Finally, after six months without releaf, Loviatar cam up with the idea of undead transformation as a means to survive. As a reward, and in respect of her efforts, the dark gods brought her back, this time to directly influence the outcome of the game.
A former member of the Capital Dwarfs, Barbecue was... "convinced" to join the Frost Legion during the game. While his skills have degraded somewhat, Barbecue looks forward to meeting is former teammates again as well as helping the Frost Legion gain it's revenge.
