When the unfortunate Duck had to return to the homeless shelter after a broken neck, the word went out for a "warm body" to "do some physical tests". The three applicants didn't know they were signing up to be Blood Bowl players, and only one decided to stick around. Taking his 50,000, he signed up under the name "Ro", and was promptly given Andrew Pimp's old jersey and told to get to practice. Mediocre fans haven't decided whether he will be a hero or a heel. Most talk about Ro is where he got his name. The leading vote getter is that he is a Michelle Forbes fan, and watches episodes of Star Trek: TNG religiously (so long as she's in them).

Short in stature but quick of step, Dave "Harvest Mouse" Anderson is a lineman hailing from the land far to the north. Dressed normally in fur coats and stocking caps, he first appeared to his teammates as a fat ball of fuzz. Having nurtured a desire to play blood bowl throughout his (so far) short life, Harvest Mouse has decided to play with the Mediocres to fulfill his lifelong ambition and feed his 36 kids back in the snowy lands of the north.

[[Game 48]]
After seven games of being a rookie, Harvest Mouse earned the MVP award in a 3-1 victory over a rotter team. He was awarded the star player points due to the fact he was the only rookie left alive, after The Rabbit fell to a freak block by a beastman.

[[Game 52]]
Though it took eleven games, Harvest Mouse finally got some time in the gym with the Mediocres' trainers. Having beefed up his daily rations and hitting the weights, the veteran has become one of the strongest players on the team.

[[Game 56]]
It didn't take long for Harvest Mouse to get in his first casualty after beefing up. The human lineman laid out a dark elf so hard the apothecary had to save his life.

[[Game 59]]
The apothecary was able to save Harvest Mouse's life during a 2-1 loss against some undeads. In tribute, Harvest's 36 kids each sent the apothecary a card in the mail, thanking him for saying their father's life.

[[Game 63]]
The strongest human on the Mediocres' roster is going to miss the next game with a groin sprain. He was kicked while he was down by a demented skaven rat.

Hailing from down under, Lucid is always kicking the ball around at practice and generally annoying his teammates. He's now being used for kickoffs after his practice has earned him a spot in the starting defensive backfield. In his free time, Lucid has been known to skydive and go on long hikes through the wilderness.

[[Game 18]]
Talking to reporters after a 3-0 drubbing by a superior dark elf team, Lucid lamented the loss of fellow teammates Zeke the Flinger and Dig Dug. "There was just nothin' left. Nothin.."

[[Game 24]]
A rare moment took place in a 1-0 win versus a khemri team. Lucid actually scored a touchdown, and the only one of the game. At the party after the game, Lucid toasted the blitzers and the MVP winning Ogre, Chipped Tooth, with a round of Australian beer. In other news, the team's plethora of plants died overnight. It was determined they all drowned in extraordinarily large amounts of Australian beer.

[[Game 33]]
Lucid was tossed from the match after trying to place a boot in a minotaur's maw. The ref caught the Aussie and sent him off. Lucid flipped the ref off as he left the field.

[[Game 37]]
The team doctor for the Mediocres saved Lucid Pimping from a cripping blow against a formidable human team in a 2-1 loss. Lucid thanked the team doctor by calling him 'Bruce', and bought him a case of Fosters.

[[Game 41]]
Lucid earned the MVP in the first Mutation Day Game for the Mediocres. He ended up injured after a few turns and sat the rest of the time in the injured box, drinking Fosters.

[[Game 42]]
A second consecutive MVP for Lucid granted him some one-on-one time with the star blitzers of the team. The Australian lineman now can help out with the blocking as well as his improved kicking game.

[[Game 45]]
Lucid has gathered quite a fan base that has resulted in three MVPs over the past five games, putting his team-leading mark to five. When asked about his sudden popularity, the kicker replied that it must be his new haircut and stylish Australian good looks.

[[Game 49]]
Another MVP was awarded for the human kicker, giving him 6 for his career. Some pundits have noticed that Lucid seems to win the MVP awards when the team loses, and that certain actions done by Lucid during the game might be causing the team to lose. In this 3-1 loss, the amazon opponents seemed to know the plays before they happened, and twice there were riots that caused Mediocre players to fight to stay standing. In five kickoffs, four times, the Mediocres were out positioned.

[[Game 62]]
Going through his worst drought of his career, Lucid Pimping has not scored a touchdown, casualty, or any other points in ten straight games. Though he has been on the field for every game, and hasn't been seriously injured, he's failed to garner any kind of recognition from the fans or media. When asked, Lucid said he's just going through a rough spot and the funk will end soon.

Juniper Owens is a recent high school graduate and long-time Medicores fan. He made the team during recent try outs at his high school's gymnasium. While not wowing the coaches with any kind of abilities, assistant coach Barry Bloke was quoted as saying, "He's a warm body. Sign him." With the recent demotion of Double Dribble to lineman duties following his bout of clumsiness, it is unclear where or how often Juniper will play.

[[Game 36]]
Young Juniper Owens will miss the next Mediocres game. He is listed as out with a broken arm. The head coach awarded Juniper with a small stipend after the game for doing what he's supposed to do.

[[Game 39]]
Juniper was awarded the MVP in a 3-0 loss to a difficult chaos dwarf team that had its eyes on human heads. While the MVP allowed Juniper to learn the much needed blocking skill, questions have been again risen as to what constitutes an MVP.

[[Game 42]]
The lineman scored his first ever touchdown in a 3-1 victory over a dwarf team. Taking place during Mutation Day, Juniper found himself with extra arms, helping hold onto the ball as he scampered towards the end zone.

[[Game 44]]
In a 2-2 tie against a fast skaven team, Juniper showed some excellence in scoring one of the two Mediocres touchdowns. The team now has three stable linemen, and the head coach has been singing Juniper's praises at press conferences. Juniper himself has been rather vocal about his skills, and wants more playing time.

[[Game 49]]
Juniper scored his first casualty of his career against a team of amazons, further cementing his position as a starting lineman of the team.

[[Game 50]]
The human lineman caused another casualty, his second in two consecutive games, increasing his importance even more. Fans are pointing at him to be the best lineman on the team, even better than Andrew Pimp or Van Hellspawn.

[[Game 51]]
The Mediocres' fan-site was awash with stories from a 4-1 loss to another human team. Juniper will miss the next match with a broken arm.

[[Game 53]]
Celebrating his return to the starting lineup, Juniper seriously injured a wood elf in another 4-1 loss. The lineman also pulled down the MVP award for the game. Afterwards, he was seen talking with Duct Tape. Rumors on the fan website say Juniper was learning how to stomp on elf heads effectively.

[[Game 55]]
Becoming more of a fan favorite every day, Juniper Owens vaulted up the charts of the fansite after placing a boot to the head of an ogre, causing him to miss the rest of the game. Mediocre fans booed when Owens was injured later in the match by a well-placed block.

[[Gane 58]]
Juniper put a hurt on a chaos dwarf troll at the end of a 2-1 loss, connecting squarely with the beast's jugular and killing it. Rumor has it, though, the troll regenerated. When told about this, Juniper was rather upset, more upset than he was about the loss.

[[Game 61]]
In a disappointing 2-1 loss, Juniper took home his fifth MVP trophy, mainly because he was able to boot some chaos beastmen, warriors, and even the minotaur without the ref sending him off. He committed a career-high six on his way to sealing at least one casualty for the humans.

The third Pimp brother to play for the Mediocres, Danny is a quiet, unassuming guy. He joined the team soon after brother Johnny was fired as assistant coach and Andrew was injured in a match. Deciding to follow in their footsteps, he has strapped on the pads of a human lineman.

[[Game 52]]
In his first game as a Mediocre, Danny Pimp scored a casualty against an undead zombie. Unfortunately, the zombie regenerated and denied Danny the satisfaction of standing over a fresh (or unfresh) grave. Even more bad news, the humans lost the game 2-0.

[[Game 60]]
After serving a good amount of time riding the pine, Danny scored his first MVP while playing against some ogres. Danny got into the game and was able to fend off some ogre blocks, which earned him the star player points. To improve his game, he spent some time with assistant coach Barry Bloke and Busted Deric to learn how to help block more effectively.

[[Game 65]]
Danny caught the eye of a fouling norse lineman and was crippled in today's 2-1 victory. There's been no comment from the coaching staff or front office on whether Danny will be cut from the roster. Initial reports have him out for the next game, whenever that will be.

Another in the long line of normal humans that have come through the ranks of the Amazing Mediocres, Ted "Smalls" Cunningham needed a job to pay for his addiction to buying little snow globes from the many places he visits. It's a costly addiction, and Smalls needs the cash.

[[Game 62]]
Though it took five games, Smalls finally earned his first MVP trophy in a 2-1 victory over another human team. When asked what he's going to do now, Smalls replied he's going to pawn his MVP trophy and buy some snow globes.

[[Game 64]]
After completing a pass, Smalls got awarded some time with Juniper Owens to learn the finer parts of kicking other players while they are down.

[[Game 65]]
Smalls saw little of the pitch in a 2-1 victory today. After being knocked out for almost the entire first half, he saw one play in the second half before being kicked in the head and sent off the field once again.

Dauntless
The second catcher signed to the Mediocres' squad, Damon Stone is fresh out of college and looking to prove himself. Touted as a more 'finesse' type of catcher, Damon has vowed to break the team touchdown record, held by Smasher Benny at the time Damon was signed. He gives the team another weapon in case experienced catcher Duct Tape can't hack it. In his free time, Damon likes to watch Star Wars and Harry Potter.

[[Game 47]]
Damon scored the first touchdown of his career, hauling in a pass from Amigo, the Mediocres' thrower, and dancing into the endzone, to the cheers of 60,000 fans.

[[Game 48]]
Already showing off his athleticism, the catcher scored his second touchdown. The workouts and sprints Damon has been doing have paid off, letting him run further and faster. The hardcore Mediocre fans are pleased and are looking to Damon to break some of Smasher Benny's records. Even after a 3-1 win versus a rotter team, the human catcher was seen running laps around the field.

[[Game 52]]
Damon earned his first MVP award in a 2-0 loss against an undead team. Wanting to round out his skills and be helpful up at the line of scrimmage, the receiver spent some time training with blitzer Chel Rafete, learning how to take on even the strongest opponent an undead (or any other) team can put up.

[[Game 54]]
The only points awarded to the Mediocres in a 1-0 loss against a strong chaos dwarf team was Damon Stone's second MVP award. He received it for surviving the match, as his catcher teammate, Duct Tape, did not.

[[Game 55]]
Picking up his second consecutive MVP award, Damon Stone was very valuable in a match against an ogre team. Damon was essential in getting the ball to teammate Van Hellspawn for the Mediocres' only score in the 1-1 draw. He also was needed in blocking the ogres at times.

[[Game 56]]
The Mediocres only catcher is making headlines. After picking up an MVP award last game, Damon Stone picked up the first touchdown in a 2-2 draw against a higher ranked dark elf team. Fans and coaches have noticed increased ability in catching and dodging, and there's some that are saying Stone might end up the biggest star in Mediocre history.

[[Game 59]]
The catcher is going to miss the next game with a sprained groin. He suffered the injury at the hands of a rather bloodthirsty undead team. After the game, the head coach was quoted as saying the team is done scheduling rough teams for a little while.

[[Game 65]]
Stone scored the deciding touchdown in a 2-1 victory over a norse team. After the game, the catcher was quoted as saying he's pissed at the team's apothecary for healing a minor injury when lineman Danny Pimp was left out in the cold with a broken leg.

The fourth ogre to don an Amazing Mediocres uniform, Phillip Phil is known for being one of the dumbest ogres in the land. Ricardo "Amigo" Ayamar has been touted for his athleticism and ability to throw the ball. As soon as the young man graduated high school, he was signed to the Mediocres' squad as the fifth thrower. The fans reactions to the hiring, after the 40th game, were mixed. Some believe the team should work only on throwing, while others, noting the four previous throwers and the lack of an actual receiving catcher, believe the team should try running more often.

[[Game 41]]
In Amigo's first game, a Mutation Day Game, he completed a pass and would have completed another had Chel Rafete been paying attention to the game and not the shapely, ahem, form, of some of the cheerleaders of the other team. When questioned why he was looking at undead cheerleaders, Chel pretended not to speak any English.

[[Game 44]]
Amigo is quietly becoming a respectable passer, having completed four passes in five attempts. Sources close to the team say Amigo has a slow learning curve, but the front office is cautiously optimistic.

[[Game 45]]
The team doctor saved the rookie thrower from a devastating injury during a 0-0 draw against a fouling undead team. Fans held their breath as the doctor tended to Amigo, but he was healthy enough to continue the match.

[[Game 49]]
Putting in the best performance of his short career, Amigo completed two passes and scored the Mediocres' only touchdown in a 3-1 loss against an amazon team. While the thrower had a good game, he was sour after the game due to the loss, and told reporters he is going to start to carry the team on his back and the arms of his strong arm.

[[Game 50]]
Amigo continues to amaze Mediocre fans. In a downpour, the human thrower effortlessly picked up the ball and threw it with amazing accuracy, leading to two touchdowns in the victory. He even caused a casualty, knocking a powerful ghoul off the pitch. The head coach is surprised but very pleased, offering praise to the thrower, who now holds the all-time completion record for the Mediocres. His athletic efforts have helped him increase his speed and stamina, allowing him to run further.

[[Game 53]]
Adding three more completions to his records, Amigo has now become a bit of a fan favorite. A website, "Amigo's Amigos" has propped up, and they have started to attend all the Mediocres' games, wearing his #12 jersey as well as putting copious amounts of spiky gel into their hair.

[[Game 57]]
Having missed two of three passes in a 3-2 loss against an undead team, Amigo hit the practice field hard. The head coach says he's become more accurate with his throws, instead of just having a cannon arm.

[[Game 63]]
Taking home the MVP, Amigo completed one pass in a 3-1 loss against a fast and deadly skaven team.

Joey "Ex Machine" Law is one of the original blitzers of the Amazing Mediocres. Always a hit with the ladies, Joey chose to be called "Ex Machine" in the hope that he would be making the opposing players ex-players, but Joey found he had little skill for dealing such damage. Instead, he's played up his natural athleticism to help the team.

[[Game 20]]
Ex Machine made headlines by sidelining an impressive elven blitzer in a 3-2 loss. While he helped his team out in taking out the blitzer, he couldn't muster the team to victory. He was solemn after the game, refusing offers to speak to the press.

[[Game 29]]
He earned the MVP during a game against some very skilled dark elves for sitting in the injured box for most of the game and flirting with the pretty dark elven women in the crowd. The girls gave some good money to the team in response. Later that month, it was learned one of the dark elf women filed a paternity suit against Ex Machine.

[[Game 34]]
News out of Mediocres' camp includes the drought that Ex Machine is currently in. He has gone five games without scoring any star player points, and fans are starting to boo him, even though they are small in number. The head coach remains high on Ex Machine, one of his two star blitzers, and is counting on him to teach the two new guys the ropes.

[[Game 35]]
Peeved at the latest headlines, Ex Machine scored a touchdown in a 2-1 win during the team's 35th game, ending his drought at five games.

[[Game 42]]
Ex Machine had to sit out during a 3-1 victory on Mutation Day. It was learned he spent the night with a woman that might have been too young. Police are looking into the matter, but no charges have been filed as of yet.

[[Game 45]]
Feeling rather fatigued during a 0-0 tie against some dirty undead players, Ex Machine tripped up while dodging away from a zombie and a flesh golem and strained his groin. Reports out of camp say the star blitzer will miss the next game, his first missed match since the Mediocres' inception.

[[Game 51]]
Ending a seven game drought, Ex Machine took home the MVP during a devastating 4-1 loss. Two linemen were killed, and another two are out for the next game, putting some pressure on the blitzers to perform.

[[Game 55]]
Requiring the services of an apothecary is necessary for human Blood Bowl players at one time or another. Ex Machine's time came in a game against a large ogre team, when it looked like he was dead on the pitch. The team doctor was able to revive the blitzer and keep him on the field, helping the Mediocres keep the game a tie, 1-1.

[[Game 58]]
Ex Machine won the MVP in a 2-1 defeat against some chaos dwarves. When asked why he won the MVP over Duck, the voters were mum.

[[Game 63]]
Scoring the only touchdown in a 3-1 loss, Ex Machine also earned a casualty when a gutter runner tried to block him into the stands. Digging in his heels, he knocked the runner out for the rest of the game, and reports say the skaven will miss the next game too. When asked to comment on the game, Ex Machine had no comment, upset at yet another loss.

[[Game 64]]
Struck with a case of Morley's Revenge, Ex Machine sat out three drives in a 2-1 loss against a relatively weak khemri team. After the game, the human blitzer took personal responsibility for the loss, saying he will never eat tuna fish sandwiches again.

Deric Bannerman is the ninth blitzer the Mediocres have signed to the roster. Hailing from the town of West Detroit, Bannerman has a reputation of being a tough brawler, especially when he's had a few drinks. His favorite is reported to be a liquid cocaine, made the real way, with Rumpleminsz. Anothe rumor going around the Internet says that Bannerman chews glass and eats babies. Though this is doubtful, he has been nicknamed "Busted Deric" for the number of times he's been arrested. His rap sheet is 14 feet long.

[[Game 33]]
In his first game with the Amazing Mediocres, Busted Deric took home the game's MVP. While it wasn't clear what he actually did during the game except throw seven blocks and run with the ball before getting blitzed by a bull centaur, the MVP Committee awarded the rookie with the MVP anyway.

[[Game 34]]
Deric was again awarded the game's MVP, probably for being one of five players still remaining on the pitch at the final whistle.

[[Game 36]]
Busted Deric is out for the Mediocres next game. He has a busted groin.

[[Game 38]]
A 3-0 win against a rotter team was a breakthrough game for Busted Deric. Scoring two of the Mediocres' three touchdowns, Deric also took home the MVP. While the team laments the loss of star lineman Prodigal Torturer in the game, fans are optimistic about Deric's quick rise.

[[Game 42]]
Busted Deric scored a touchdown in a 3-1 victory during Mutation Day. Having to step up with co-blitzer Ex Machine out for the game, he earned a game ball for his efforts.

[[Game 47]]
Snapping a five-game drought of star player points, Deric injured a high elf during a 3-1 victory. Having won the game, the blitzer promptly went to his favorite bar and got himself arrested on an assault charge. It is unclear if he will miss any playing time.

[[Game 50]]
During the Mediocres' half-century game, Deric scored a casualty, taking out one of the impressive ghouls on an undead team. The game ended in a 2-1 victory for the humans, and Deric took the entire team out for rounds at his favorite pub after the match.

[[Game 52]]
Word from the trainer's room has Busted Deric out for the next game. He was roughed up in a 2-0 loss to an undead team. It was a rather poor showing for the blitzer, having scored no points and thrown only one block all game.

[[Game 60]]
Deric finally found his way into the endzone again, scoring his fourth touchdown in a 3-2 victory over a team of ogres. He's intimated that if he doesn't become the featured blitzer by the time he learns his next skill, he may hang up his cleats and retire from Blood Bowl completely.

[[Game 65]]
After a long hiatus, the Mediocres won a 2-1 victory over a norse team. Busted Deric caused a game-leading two casualties, though fellow blitzer Chel Rafete was killed when he was pushed into the crowd by the frenzied norse players. To lament his teammate's untimely demise, Deric "celebrated" by taking the team out for drinks and beating up anyone that came too close.

The third foreign player for the Amazing Mediocres, Emef Tells signed with the team after the early retirement of another foreign blitzer, Feff Tines. There is little known about Emef's playing ability or his potential, but scouts are keen on his ability to both block and run, and his ability to learn the game. Emef is known around the locker room for his large assortment of shoes.

[[Game 15]]
In just his second game, Emef Tells scored the only touchdown in a tough 1-0 victory against Paps, a rival human team. While he didn't get the MVP, the head coach is glad the rookie contributed, though ball carrying time may be cut down with the return of Smasher Benny to the lineup after missing a game.

[[Game 23]]
In a 2-1 victory over a difficult chaos team, Emef Tells recorded the best game of his short career. A completion, touchdown, and the game's MVP go onto Emef's stat-log, and as a reward, he's been given special training by a freelance coach. Emef has vowed no elf will get away from him now.

Emef was in the lap of Lady Luck today after getting crowd-surfed by a chaos dwarf team in a 2-1 victory. Apparently Ms. Luck was happy to have the team's star blitzer on her lap. After the game, Emef took Ms. Luck to his home to show off his assortments of pumps and high heels.

[[Game 37]]
Emef earned the MVP in a 2-1 loss against another human team, mainly for trying to rally the team around him and the other blitzers, who had a tough day keeping the hits from landing. To alleviate the frustration, Emef spent the remaining evening at Payless.

[[Game 39]]
During a 3-0 loss to a powerful chaos dwarf team, Emef was injured during the first few moments of the match and spent the entire game in the injured box, blaming his bad pair of cleats.

[[Game 44]]
Emef has become the teams star blitzer, hauling in touchdowns and taking out opposing players. As Mutant Day nears its end, Emef has become the second leading blitzer in terms of star player points.

[[Game 46]]
The MVP of a 4-1 loss was awarded to Emef, apparently because when he was in the injured box, he continuously flipped off the dwarfs as they ran by to four scores, the most given up by the Mediocres to a dwarf team. He was absent from the press conference after the game where the humans announced they will no longer play dwarf teams.

[[Game 52]]
Sustaining an injury to his groin, Emef will be forced to sit out the next game for the Mediocres as he undergoes treatment at the training facility. When asked for comment, Emef refused to speak. Rumor has it that the blitzer is speaking in a temporarily soprano voice.

[[Game 56]]
During the last moments of a game against some dark elves, Emef had to fight off three defenders, including a witch elf that wouldn't go down before dodging between the elves and over the goal line to tie the game at two apiece. The game ended soon after, and the blitzer was treated to a bonus from assistant coach Barry Bloke: a gift certificate to his favorite shoe store.

[[Game 62]]
Emef scored a touchdown in a 2-1 victory over a fellow human team. Running from endzone to endzone, he put on a clinic on how to avoid defenders and mud puddles (so they wouldn't mess up his cleats).

[[Game 65]]
The human blitzer took home his fifth MVP trophy in a 2-1 victory over a violent norse team, whose fans killed fellow blitzer Chel Rafete. When asked about the sudden lack of players on the team, which is now down to 12, Tells said they will be looking for a replacement for Chel soon.
