Joe has played in every single Kristmas Kup. He is an incredibly stupid troll with a penchant for canabalism. "Joe doesn't really want to play blood bowl," an opposing coach growled, "he's just looking for something to eat. Hell, he once ate his own team." When asked if there is any truth to this, Joe simply grins.

Joe facts:

Joe scored his first casualty of the season against the vampire team known as Slaye Ride. The crazed Troll fractured a thrall's skull and sent him to the dugout. Joe hasn't done a single thing of note since that first casualty.

Joe spent most of the game laying on the pitch in Gange Green's second round match against the Forgge Fiends. He wasn't injured, rather, Joe was too distracted (or stupid) to get back up.

Most people believe that Joe rigged the Kristmus Kup of 08 (including his team). Said one opposing coach: "Lew Twista played well, but I mean....that team didn't even win a game during the season. They had to be juicing." Joe's response, "Does he mean drunk?"

Joe did get incredibly drunk after winning the 08 Kristmus Kup. So drunk that he ate three fans and a mule.

Udd Knuckles has been plagued with injuries lately. "Must be somethink I ate. Probably those puppies." Joe has told Udd to shape up or he will soon find himself "in the fryer." For his part, Udd said he is happy to be playing for a farm team. "If I can stay healthy, maybe I can get called up to the Orcland Raiders."

Udd facts:

Udd hits people so hard that he often injures himself. He has been removed from the pitch (due to injury) in two of the last three games. He is also scheduled to miss the first tourney game of the 08 Kristmas Kup because of an injury inflincted by a mummy.

Udd has been healthy, but ineffective, as of late.

Joe Green found "Simon" Punch working as hired muscle for a local goblin chieftan. "He could really hurt a dwarf," Joe chuckled. "Simon," whose real name is unknown, agreed to play for Gange Green after Joe tore his former employer limb from limb.


Simon facts:

"Simon" has established a reputation as a tough hitter. He notched his first casualty against the vampire team known as Slaye Ride. "Simon" seriously injured a vampire only moments into the game.

"Simon" doesn't really block his oppenents. He basically just hits them. As a result, he scored his second casualty in an 08 Kristmus Kup semi-final. "Simon" broke a pointies ribs with a crushing punch to the stomache.

"Simon" recently purchased a kitty named "Cutie."

The "Punch" as fans have taken to calling him is the most popular player on the team (even more so than Lew Twista). He has been voted MVP a team record three times! Orcs do love their hitting.

Lew Twista is a third generation blood bowl player. "Gramps waz a blitzer for the Ughrock Ramblers. Never made it pro cuz he lost his left arm trying to tackle a werewolf thrower." Lew's father was also a blitzer. "He never had the talent of gramps, but they say nobody could drink like 'im."

Scouts say that Lew lacks arm strength to play in the big leagues; however, his effort has never been questioned. "He does things that don't make no sense," Joe remarked thoughtfully, "but he does them well."

Lew facts:

Lew is the leading rusher (85 squares) for Gange Green.

Lew completed more passes (12) than any other player in the 08 Kristmus Kup season/tourney.

Lew completed a beautiful last second pass against the chaos dwarf team Forgge Fiend. Sadly, his receiver fell down before making it to the endzone. The touchdown would have tied the game.

Lew failed to pick up the ball twice (including failed rerolls each time) against the undead team the Marzgul Minions.

Lew ran for his first score against the Marzgul Minions in the first round of the Kristmus Kup.

Lew threw two TDs (and ran for another in OT) against the Forgge Fiends in the second round of the Kristmus Kup. However, Lew once again failed to pick up the ball (twice) over the course of the game. Lew also sat out an entire series, claiming that his contract allowed for a "breather" after a clutch score!

Lew completed two "dump off" passes against a dark elf team in the Kristmus Kup semi-finals. One of them should have been for a TD, but his sorry excuse for a receiver fell down (again) going for an extra step.

Lew threw the game winning touchdown in the 08 Kristmus Kup Championship match. He completed a a nice quick pass to Nab "Owes Us Money" on the final turn of the second half. Prior to that pass, Lew was having one of his worst games ever. Some speculate that Lew had a concussion (a fan hit Lew in the head with a rock at the start of the game). Support for this hypothesis surfaced during the post-game press conference. When asked about the game, Lew said, "I see purple."

Moh Toe is a member of the famous "Dirty Toe" war party. Moh lost track of his tribe though after a long night of drinking. "They waz here beside me, then they waz not." Tribeless, Moh found a job playing thrower for Gang Green after Joe Green saw him win a darts tourney at the local pub.

Moh facts:

A vampire broke Moh's throwing arm in the first game of his career. As a result, Moh is weaker than most orcs and has struggled to even throw the ball.

Grunk is a byproduct of the Black Forest Junior Blood Bowl Camp (the BFJ). Talented young orcs are recruited to the BFJ before the age of 5. They spend the next decade or so training for careers as professional blood bowl players/coaches.

At the age of 16, Grunk was recruited to a farm system for the Orcland Raiders: the Dead Trunk League. Shortly after arriving, Grunk discovered that the league manager had sold all the players (and other managers) as slaves to a nearby Chaos Dwarf mining camp. Grunk fled before the Bull Centaur slavers arrived and took to a life on the road.

For the next few years, Grunk worked odd jobs and kept a low profile. Just when he thought his playing days were done, Grunk had an encounter with Joe Green. "He was the first guy I didn't kill that day," Joe recalled, "it was that kind of meeting."

Grunk facts:

Grunk is a bit rusty, but he is already showing signs of his training. Grunk scored the first goal of Gange Green's 2007 Kristmas Kup run.

Grunk killed a hobgoblin in a second round Kristmus Kup game against the Forgge Fiends.

Kizmit Krudder grew up on the blood bowl pitch. Literally. Kizmit's parents left him on the pitch following a dissapointing loss. Without a home, Kizmit decided to live at the stadium (under the bleachers to be more precise). Of his parents, Kizmit had this to say: "Them couldn't handle losing too well."

Kizmit was eventually hired on as a grounds keeper. Players jokingly called him "the Ghost" because some believed he was the lost spirit of a deceased blood bowl player. "He never leaves the stadium," a fan noted, "like he can't leave or something."

Secretly, Kizmit has always longed to play blood bowl. Joe Green offered him a spot on Gang Green's roster because, in Joe's words, "him got me real good seats to the other games."

Kizmit's love of the game and understanding of the pitch seem to give him an edge over other players. "He don't talk or even grunt, but him does seem hard to knock down. And kinda fast," Lew Twista observed.

Kizmit facts:

Kizmit wears a uniform he found in a display case honoring the great Orc Blitzer Tugg Splatt. The uniform is 40 years old.

Kizmit sometimes hums team songs while he plays.

Kizmit single-handedly carried Gange Green into the 08 Kristmus Kup. He jumped on a ball in the endzone (scoring the games only TD) and then made the game saving tackle as the buzzer sounded (knocking a dwarf flat right at the goal line).

Kizmit delivered another beautiful performance in the Kristmus Kup Championship game. He stopped Molten Hooves from scoring, threw a nice pass downfield, intercepted a pass intended for Anvil Breaker, and led the break downfield that would result in the game winning touchdown.

After the Championship game, Kizmit walked off the pitch and vanished from sight. He hasn't been seen since.

Fans have been buzzing about a talented young lineman by the name of Nab "Owes Us Money." Nab almost caught a beautiful catch in the first game of the season and has established himself as a possible deep threat. When asked where he found such a skilled orc, Joe replied, "He owed us some money." A master recruiter, as always.

Nab fancies himself a receiver.

Nab failed to make an extra step against the Forgge Fiends; unfortunately, at the time, he was standing on the goaline about to score the game tying touchdown.

Nab badly hurt Token, a star player for the dark elf team Krusty's Last Stand, in Gange Green's semi-final victory of the 08 Kristmus Kup. "Really agile legs break just as easy," Tab chuckled.

Nab caught the game winning touchdown in the 08 Kristmus Kup Championship. Die hard fans of Gange Green were not surprised; Nab had always fancied himself a receiver.

Of the catch, Joe had this to say: "I guess him don't owe us money any more."

Krom Ironside was one of the great Blitzers in Blood Bowl history. Unfortunately, Krom was killed in a freak Steam Cannon accident. "He tried to lay a block on the steam cannon," a friend said, "and, well, you know, he almost had it." Even though Krom has long been dead, Joe heard that an orc was in town who claimed to be Krom's brother. "He didn't look like Krom and he seemed kind of drunk," an anonymous dwarf said, "but Joe decided he HAD to be on the team. And you can't say no to Joe." The poor orc, known as Krom's Brother, hasn't shown any skill on the pitch yet. Fans can already sense Joe's mounting disgust.

Krom facts:

Krom's Brother is gaining a bit of a fan following. Some say that fans like Krom's Brother because they desperately want to believe he is an emerging superstar. In fact, he recently was named MVP of a game...even though he didn't make a significant play.

Krom seems to have his best games against the Forgge Fiends. In a second round Kristmus Kup match, Krom caught a nice pass from Lew Twista to tie the game at 1 - 1. "Him really playing like a pro-level guy lately. He make good plays when we need 'em. Just like Krom," black orc blocker "Simon" Punch said following the second round match. It is still unclear, however, if he really is Krom's brother.
