Born two hundred years ago as Ivan Ash-heart, this foul bull centaur made deals with the blood god Khorne to gain long life and unholy powers. Roughly 120 years ago he rose to prominance in his the small dwarf hold of Mor Skalla where he was able to gather a following of slaves and minions to do his bidding. With his new found wealth, he was also able to purchase the fighting rights to the bull centaur gladiator Molten Hooves, whose winning streak in the pits of Mor Skalla was becoming legendary.

Sadly, this would be his undoing. In a foolish attempt to fix a fight, he angered the powerful Damini crime family who sent an assassin to kill his slaves and followers. To save himself, Ivan fled with Molten Hooves and changed his name to Anvil-breaker, claiming to be a "freed" gladiator. Now in excile from his homeland, he swore an oath of vengeance to kill the entire Damini family and reclaim his destiny. So began his quest for the Crimson Chalice, an item he believes will grant him the power he needs.

Born into the slave pits of Mor Skalla, the future for one small bull centaur calf was bleak. What his mother may half called him is unknown, but as the slave grew older he took the name Molten Hooves and proved a deadly foe with the axe, hammer and especially his hooves. To see his opponent's skull caved in gave the centaur brutal pleasure and he dreamed of one day leading an uprising against his capturs... even if he died in the attempt.

To his fortune, his fighting rights were purchased by the hold's warlord, a wealthy bull centaur named Ivan Ash-heart. Soon their destinies were united by scandal and a mad flight into excile. For his benefactor this meant the loss of great wealth and privilage... but to Molten Hooves this meant freedom. He has taken a vow to help his former owner to find the Crimson Chalice and then... he will part ways to find his own destiny.

Dirv Duddley was not a handsome dwarf. Nor was he bright... nor did he smell good. He was however very good at catching rats who plagued the hold of Mor Skalla and this earned him the favors of the warlord Ivan Ash-heart.

Sadly... Duddley was also very loyal and fled with Ivan when he went into excile. On the bright side, their always seem to be plenty of rats wherever they travel and this "occupation" has both fed them and paid the bills on more than one occasion.

The undead abomination known as Red Haaate is made from the stitched togethor remains of dead dwarves who have died upon the quest for the chalice. He doesn't argue much and he's not bad company... if you can get past the smell.

The former captain of the watch in the dwarf hold of Mor Skalla, Lord Monekey was forced into excile when assassins slaughtered his whole family and almost everyone he knew. Takng the name Blackbeard he joined Ivan Ash-heart on his quest for the chalice. Unlike most who fled into excile, the former captain has proved an able hand in battle and hopes to prove himself on the pitch.

"Ash Can" Pete was not born a chaos dwarf. In fact he has never been east of mountains to see their slaved filled halls. That said, the son of a Dwarf baking family, Peter Puggles, always longed for greater glory and the roar of the crowds when he went to local blood bowl matches. Alas... he was an only child and poor Puggles seemed doomed to take over the ovens from his father and learn the family's secret "sprinkle" recipes that made their dwarf bread the talk of the small halfling town.

Two months ago, a strange band of foreign dwarfs and foul smell hobgoblins came to town led by a pair of ruthless bull centaurs. Since falling in with this crowd, his family is very distraught. Not only has little Peter grown out his brown beard in imitation of his new friends he's also bought some outlandish armor from a goblin merchant who "swears" he got it off a chaos dwarf in Altodorf.

What Peter may lack in Chaos Dwarf history, he makes up for on the pitch as the only one on the team who has ever actually seen a Blood Bowl match. Part coach... part lacky... part rebellious youth... "Ash Can" Pete takes the pitch hoping to flee his mundane existence.
