Gristle Highmountain is the eldest surviving son of his more famous father, Brewmeister Legend Sid "Spitoon" Highmountain, whose rich, black beer was coveted in all the brew halls in the west. Alas poor Gristle was always more of a physical being and his attempts at brewing were best described as warm piss with a hint of pickles or even worse... sweet and zesty, a treat for the ladies. After repeated brewing failures, he turned the brewery over to his younger brother, a brewmeister of growing fame, and swore an oath to die an honorable death. It was about this time the Stunty Jug tournament was announced and Gristle's fate was sealed. Using his inheritance he bought the best players he could afford and then filled up the roster with local dwarf boys who could talk a good game.

While not the favorite in the tournament, the dwarfs have capitalized on the game breaking alterations of the Open Orc Offense to create a simialar Open Dwarf Offense. While the skeptics were at first... critical... ("Hah... Dwarfs will pass when monkey shit gold!!!")... the arrival of the sharp-eyed passer Rummy Hawkeye combined with the growing talent of Thorn the Tumbler has changed everything. Needless to say monkeys have become all the latest rage in town.

There is a history to Shackle that few know. This dwarf blitzer was born in the east, beyond the World's Edge Mountains and deep within the slave pits of his chaos worshipping cousins. His parents were slaves. His grandparents were merchants who had thought to create a land rout through ogre lands to the riches of the far east. Needless to say it didn't go to plan.

For Shackle growing up in the slave camps was a constant struggle. Scrapping for food with the hobgoblins youth and avoiding the gaze of his dwarf centaur slave masters were daily factors of life. During a bitter civil war that shook the foul nation to its core, Shackle managed to escape with a handful of other slaves and make his way to the safety of the west. Still... these bitter memories fuel his anger on the pitch and he gains special pleasure in inflicting misery on any reminder to his slave upbringing.

His three casualties against 4th midnight, including slaying the bull centaur Kef "Stone Tyrant", attest to his special brand of revenge.

Thorn is a strangely agile dwarf with a nose for finding the endzone. Teamed up with the dwarf "thrower" Rummy Hawkeye, this pair has broken most passing and recieving statistics of any dwarf team in any league organized by Mean Joe. This doesn't sound that impressive, but even recruiters from the World Edge Mountain League have taken notice and started watching the matches. If this dwarf survives the tournament... he could find riches in more lucrative leagues in the east.

Stunty Jug folklore swears that the "real" Rummy died in one of his first matches and that the dwarf claiming to be Rummy is actually a ringer out of the World Edge Mountains League brought in for big money to give Strange Brew XXX an edge in the tournament.


True or not, this dwarf "thrower" has put up amazing stats that has impressed even his elven competitors.
