Commonly known as Esk, she is the main character in Equal Rites, where she became the Unseen University's first (and only as of now) female graduate. Esk was last seen inventing a new kind of magic based on not using it at all, in the company of wunderkind wizard Simon.

Mrs Gogol is a practitioner of voodoo living in Genua. She assists the Lancre coven in getting rid of the Duc and getting Ella into her rightful place on the throne . She has a black cockrel named Legba, which is able to frighten Nanny Ogg's cat Greebo. She resurrected Baron Saturday, Ella's father and a victim of Lilith de Tempscire's, as a zombie.

Magrat Garlick was the original Maiden in the Lancre coven. She is often described as "a wet hen". Magrat believes in crystals, folk wisdom, and cycles of nature.

She's had 5 husbands and been married to three of them and has fifteen children who survived their early childhood (one was born some ten years after the death of her last husband). She has as well innumerable grandchildren and great-grandchildren, but that's incidental; what makes her the Mother is her mentality. People go to Granny Weatherwax for help when they have no choice, but they go to Nanny for advice all the time. Granny is respected, but Nanny is actually liked.

She is the daughter of Ysabell, Death's adopted daughter and Mort, who was briefly his apprentice (in Mort). At the end of Mort they leave Death's domain and become Duke and Duchess of Sto Helit. Susan is their only child.

Ysabell is the adopted daughter of Death, who saved her as a baby when her parents were killed in the Great Nef desert. When first encountered she is a sixteen-year-old girl with silver hair and silver eyes. When Mort first encountered Ysabell, he was given the impression of "too many chocolates". She also has a fixation for the colour pink.

Her name says it all really, an ex-opponent of Cohen, and sometime lover. Ofttimes beset by other barbarians, and even more often tearing across the Disc-scape as an aside.

A Holy Wood actress in Moving Pictures. Using the name Delores De Syn, she starred in several movies with Victor Tugelbend, usually as the maiden to be rescued. She is descended from the High Priestess of Holy Wood, and while sleeping, she was repeatedly possessed by an unknown force, possibly the priestess. This force used Ginger to attempt to awaken the Holy Wood guardian, which would have put a stop to the Holy Wood magic and prevented the Things from the Dungeon Dimensions from breaking through to the Discworld.

Daughter of King Olerve the Bastard of the Sto Plains kingdom of Sto Lat, and the last person between the Duke of Sto Helit and the throne, she was saved from assassination by Mort, who found himself unable to allow her would-be assassin to kill her. After the initial complications had been sorted out- the universe insisted that she should be dead for a time, which meant that most people simply refused to acknowledge her existence unless she made her presence clear- she became Queen Kelirehenna I, Lord of Sto Lat, Protector of the Eight Protectorates and Empress of the Long Thin Debated Piece Hubwards of Sto Kerrig.

She is a large, rather Wagnerian and aristocratic lady, almost as frightening as the swamp dragons that she breeds, yet also a kind-hearted person who tries to show compassion for others. She is known to be able to like almost anyone, and accept anything with great grace.

She has a dragon pen outside her house where she breeds and cares for swamp dragons. She also runs a home for sick, abused or abandoned swamp dragons in the city. Her hobby has left her with her natural hair singed off and she wears a wig in nearly all circumstances.

The daughter of Baron Saturday of Genua and Mrs Erzulie Gogol. She appears as an attractive young woman with brown skin and blonde hair. Her entire life has been controlled by her fairy godmother, Lady Lilith de Tempscire, to ensure that she marries Lady Lilith's pawn, the Duc (pronounced "Duck") (actually a frog). She spends much of her time in the palace kitchens, apparently because she enjoys being helpful, rather than because she is mistreated. Because she helps lay the fires, the palace cook nicknamed her "Embers"

The daughter of Robert Dearheart, founder of the Grand Trunk Semaphore Company, and sister of the murdered John Dearheart, Adora Belle Dearheart (featured in Going Postal and Making Money) is cynical, angry, and a heavy smoker (so memorably heavy that Moist, needing to find her, located her house by asking the nearest tobacconist's)
