Sebben and Sebben Pty Ltd
Phil is a shell-shocked, dangerous man with a mysterious past. He is also Harvey’s boss. He will not hesitate to jump out a high window or throw a desk across the room if the situation calls for it. Say if lunch is late. At the drop of a hat, though, he'll turn into a touching and caring mentor to Harvey. Literally touching. And not in the good way. Because he wears an eye patch, Phil has no depth perception, but this doesn’t prevent him from skeet shooting near an orphanage or practicing his knife throwing in the office. Or near orphans.
Back in his superhero days, Avenger joined his master Birdman in the never-ending fight against evil and to "spread the light of justice into the darkest recesses of the human soul." Now he’s pretty much Harvey’s large purple eagle assistant. Career advancement? You decide.
Harvey Birdman was once a third-rate superhero. He is now a third-rate lawyer. There was a brief period as “bachelorette party entertainer,” but we’ll ignore that. Birdman takes the hard cases, the unwinnable cases, the cases nobody else wants. Or maybe it’s just the animated cases. He works for prestigious law firm, Sebben and Sebben, and is constantly living in fear of getting fired. It’s unclear whether he ever completed – or even attended – law school, but he has a business suit now, that’s for sure.
Stylish and suave, this debonair lawyer relies heavily on his robotic sidekick Dynomutt. And on his breathtaking Spanish accent.
Peanut is Harvey's 13-year-old paralegal, who knows how to say, “When will your husband be home?” in pretty much all of the Romance languages. He has also been known to show up at the office with a bazooka and a bad attitude. In short, a sweet, normal teenager. In a pink sweater vest. Not exactly threatening. When Harvey is out of his legal depth, the perceptive Peanut is usually the only one who knows it.
Mentok is a judge with the wisdom of Solomon and the ability to take minds at will. His power to adjudicate is equaled only by his ability to steal a person’s thoughts without ever leaving the bench. That being said, Mentok would officially like everyone to know that he can, in fact, take your minds. At will. Whenever. Wherever. Your mind's. Done been took. By him. Now cluck like a chicken.
Purple, pompous and perverted, this hippo lawyer only needs to know one thing. Did you get that thing he sent you?
The costumed alter ego of Phil’s daughter, Judy Ken Sebben. Most of her time is spent trying to conceal her secret identity. This proves especially difficult around her father, as he is infatuated with Birdgirl.
Brother of Phil. He co-founded the firm with twin brother Phil when they were twenty-six years old (they were distinguishable by the fact their eyepatches are on opposite eyes).
Reducto is a mean-spirited, vindictive and paranoid little man. In other words, the perfect attorney! Harvey's most frequent courtroom adversary, Reducto is extremely paranoid. To protect himself from potential attacks and interpersonal contact, he carries a shrink gun, which he is constantly stroking and adjusting. If that sounds sexual, it’s not supposed to. Or maybe it is. Reducto threatens just about everyone with his gun, including attorneys, members of the jury, the judge and occasionally, his mother.
Vulturo is another one of Harvey's former villains turned rival lawyers. His primary set-back is a speech impediment that he seems entirely unaware of; he has a thick, pompous accent (reminiscent of and perhaps inspired by the speech patterns of actor James Mason) and though he will often start talking in a normal posh voice, he soon trails off into incomprehensible gibberish. This seems to have little effect on his success rate as a lawyer. He lives in a subterranean lair, somewhat similar to the Batcave. His original assistant, Dirth, was a robotic vulture but is now a cigarette lighter
Justice is handed down swiftly and surely with the help of Mightor's prehistoric club of fossilized wood.
