Matt is handcuffed and watched over by Rain and J.D. After the team finds themselves surrounded by legions of the undead Umbrella employees, Matt frees himself and leaves the group during the commotion in order to search for his sister Lisa Addison, a Hive employee working in the research facility to smuggle out a sample of the T-Virus. Matt discovers she has been turned into a zombie when she attacks him. Alice appears and kills Lisa. Matt explains that his story was a cover to gain access to the Hive and expose Umbrella's experiments. The remainder of the team attempt to escape the complex via train, however, before successfully escaping, the train is attacked by an Enhanced Licker, which scratches Matt's arm. After the creature is killed, only Matt and Alice escape the complex. Matt's arm begins to mutate due to an infection from the T-Virus, and before Alice has a chance to administer the Anti-Virus, Umbrella scientists seize both Alice and Matt. Dr. William Birkin orders that Matt be placed into the Nemesis program
In Resident Evil: Extinction, where the world has succumbed to the T-Virus, Alice has separated from the group. She stays on the move to avoid capture by the Umbrella corporation after she learned Umbrella could track her through satellites. She left the group to protect them, using the satellites trajectories to stay off the grid. On her travels she finds a journal detailing the possibility of Alaska as sanctuary. However, the Umbrella corporation is utilizing the White Queen, a more advanced artificial intelligence computer that is able to find Alice. Early in the film, she uses her telekinesis to save Claire Redfield's Convoy; the convoy in which L.J. and Carlos have since joined. However, Alice is noticed by an Umbrella satellite, and Isaacs is then made aware of her location. The leaders of the convoy, decide to make the trip to Alaska, but first refuel in Las Vegas. Isaacs goes after Alice, defying orders from Umbrella Chairman Albert Wesker.

Originally from a South American anti-government guerrilla group, his nationality is unknown, though he does have Native American ancestry. After government forces wiped out his former organization, Carlos was scouted out by the Umbrella Corporation to join the UBCS. He joined and was assigned to Delta Platoon, Company A, along with Nicholai Ginovaef and Mikhail Victor. Despite his violent background, he is warm-hearted and known for joking around.[21] In Resident Evil 3, Carlos assists Jill Valentine throughout the game as the two of them attempt to escape Raccoon City. At one point Jill becomes infected by the T-virus after a battle with the Nemesis. At this point Carlos becomes playable so that the player can prepare a vaccine for Jill. Ultimately he is successful in escaping the city along with Jill. He reprises his role in The Umbrella Chronicles. The events of Resident Evil 3 are revisited in The Umbrella Chronicles scenario "Raccoon's Destruction", in which Carlos is a playable character alongside Jill Valentine. Carlos is voiced by Vincent Corazza in Resident Evil 3. Carlos's character was personified by Oded Fehr in the films Resident Evil: Apocalypse and Resident Evil: Extinction.
Jill appears in the live action film Resident Evil: Apocalypse, portrayed by Sienna Guillory. The film is based on the main events of Resident Evil 3. In this version of the series she is a STARS member and foil to the main character Alice. Jill along with a group of survivors try to escape Raccoon City, and is one of the few survivors to make it out. Jill was set to appear in the sequel, Resident Evil: Extinction. However, Guillory had commitments to other work.
Yuri Loginova was a mercenary employed by the Umbrella Corporation as a member of the Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service, working in a squad with Carlos Oliveira and Nicholai Ginovaef. Notably, he once destroyed an alley full of zombies with just one hand grenade. He was infected with the T-Virus during the incident in Raccoon City and was killed by Nicholai after succumbing to it.
Ryan Henderson was the captain of the Special Tactics And Rescue Service in Raccoon City. When the T-Virus was unleashed into the city, he and the other S.T.A.R.S. members tried to keep the chaos under control. Their numbers were severely curtailed after the police force, along with the Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service, engaged in a failed campaign to suppress the zombie outbreak. Along with his remaining officers, he retreated to the Mostly Colt gun store. They were discovered by the Nemesis, however, who slaughtered them.
Capt. Henderson was portrayed in Resident Evil: Apocalypse by Dave Nichols.
Chad Kaplan was a computer technician who worked for the F.B.I. before Timothy Cain hired him into the U.B.C.S. He took Cain's offer and became the second in command of the group, which was led by One. The team was going into The Hive to shut down the Red Queen, which had gone rampant and killed everyone in the Hive save for Alice, Spence Parks, and Matt Addison. Even though he was the second in command, he had seen no action and was the only rookie on the team. Despite this, One evidently trusted Kaplan enough to tell him his actual name, James Shade.
In 2002, with support from her brother, Lisa sought, and gained employment with Umbrella, assigned to the computer security division working out of The Hive. The purpose of this being to recover incriminating evidence of Umbrella's crimes, a task she was well suited to. She was forced to work closely with Dr. Barr's creation, the Red Queen, and found that duty quite unpleasant.
While in the Hive, Lisa created a security protocol requiring all employees to change their password for the computer network every eight days. She knew that most people would forget, which was another part of her plan. When someone forgot to change their password, they were locked out of the system until Lisa could help them. After resetting their password, Lisa would get a momentary glance at whatever information the person in question was trying to access, in the few seconds it took the Red Queen to realize that she didn't have clearance to see the data. It was this method by which Lisa hoped to secure the evidence against Umbrella. It was also by this method that she came to conspire with Alice.
Nicholai appeared in the second film. While Nicholai was also a member of the U.B.C.S., his character in the film is radically different than that in the game; not only is he not evil, but, while cocky and arrogant, he has a deep sense of honour and goodness (and is a Catholic) and is the second-in-command and best friend of Carlos. During the outbreak, which led to the deaths of the entire team save Carlos, Nicholai is killed saving the lives of Jill and Angela Ashford, when he is overrun and mauled to death by Cerberi' in Raccoon City Junior High School. He is played in the film by Zack Ward.
