Tempest Silver Eagles
Aloyius has led the Silver Eagles to battle in every game they've played. He is a firm believer in leading from...the side. Despite showing off both his passing and bashing skills, Aloyius is still yet to score a touchdown or receive MVP. Needless to say, he's considering recommending the Catchers start passing more, or they may end up on the line of scrummage (a tactic supported completely by Onari and Merin!)
After third encounter with the Brennon Battlers, Aloyius has learnt that enemy Catchers can elude even his dangerous blocking skills. Having spent a great deal of time perfecting his tackling, Aloyius is sure the slippery cowards will not escape again!
Aloyius also holds the record for most blocks in the team.
Benidictus has a reputation for injury known as "Wilkinson Syndrome." Despite being with the team since its founding, he has only played 3 games.
Coach Tempest was severely disappointed in this serious investment, until Benidictus showed his worth against the Crashars by scoring a touchdown. Since this event, Benidictus has been training his dodging skills, hoping to simply stay out of the way of further trouble...
Reliable Coriolanus, with a steady arm and a sharp eye. Coriolanus has never been called a super star; but has succeeded in one pass against each of the Silver Eagles foes.
After four perfect passes in a single game against Brennon Battlers, Coriolanus was awarded MVP. The resulting confidence boost from this decision, has caused him to train even more thoroughly. It is said he can throw a ball with more skill than any other player in the league now...
Diameetres suffered a fractured arm against the Crashars, inflicted by resident sadistic Black Orc Block Boulder, forcing him to miss the game.
Diameetres has publicly sworn vengeance against the brute...but privately just intends to keep out of his way!
Eriathus is the younger cousin of team captain Aloyius. Despite not enjoying Aloyius' speed (or paycheck...) it seems young Eriathus has learnt a thing or two about the more brutal side of the game. While Kayuli may have the bloodiest record, Eriathus is the reliable linesman that every team mate looks to in times of difficulty (including the occasional pass!)
Fulina learnt that safety is paramount. To be safe you need speed. Having played against the most bloodthirsty side known to the Stourbridge League (the Crashars), Fulina quickly learnt to increase his speed, or pay the hospital bills...
Fulina also has the highest number of blocks of any of the Linesmen, and second only to team captain Aloyius
Ithmaera was a promising player who achieved two touchdowns and an MVP quickly in his career. Due to his low social class, this angered some of the nobler players. To avoid scandal or a potentially lethal duel, coach Tempest assigned Ithmaera the essential but lowly roll of Team Kicker.
Ithmaera has proven accurate in his new role, and the rest of the team are pacified. But great promise shows in this lowly born elf...
Jingo has had a hard time in the Silver Eagles. He leads the trio of himself, Merin and Onari on the line of scrummage. It is a tough job and he yearns to prove himself enough that he can be moved to the safety of the flanks or rear. Not an easy job when he spends most of his game with his face in the dirt...
Finally Jingo has achieved his moment in the sun, successfully throwing a pass against long time rivals Brennon's Battlers. He just hopes the Coach was watching...
An unfortunate elf who suffered terrible poisoning against the evil Ratmen that plagues him to this day, both fatiguing him and turning him into the most bloodthirsty player on the the Silver Eagle's side.
Kayuli's blood hungry streak continues, with more casualties than the rest of the squad put together (but he proved against the Brennon Battlers he can also remember the ball!).
Merin was purchased at the same time as Onari, and both of them are having second thoughts about joining the team. It seems that, due to their lack of Star Player quality, they are always placed on the line of scrimmage opposite the biggest nastiest players on the enemy team.
Coach Tempest denies any such accusations, saying they are a vital cog in the team machine...
Merin finally had his moment in the sun against the Brennon Battlers successfully throwing a pass. He prays to the Elven and Bloodbowl gods that he achieves Star Player status so that he can finally leave the accursed line of death...
Naepoli was raised in a Wood Elf community, but was told he was too slow to play for any of the teams in the league. Heart broken, he sought refuge in other squads. He was too rigtheous to play for the Dark Elves and too haughty to play for the Elves. Leaving - The High Elves!
Coach Tempest leapt at the chance to have a player who knew the intimacies of Wood Elf tactics, and has carefully nurtured Naepoli.
The teachings of the Wood Elves have never left Naepoli, and thanks to the encouragement of two MVP awards and three famous "Wood Elf Passes", he has already incorporated the slippery style of his woodland cousins into his game.
There have been some grumblings about his appalling low blocking rate; the lowest of any members of the squad apart from the two Catchers...(and they haven't even played 6 games yet!)
Onari was purchased at the same time as Merin, and both of them are having second thoughts about joining the team. It seems that, due to their lack of Star Player quality, they are always placed on the line of scrimmage opposite the biggest nastiest players on the enemy team.
Coach Tempest denies any such accusations, saying they are a vital cog in the team machine...
Merin has begun to advance while Onari stays behind. He is determined to somehow achieve at least some recognition, if only to keep his head on his shoulders a little longer!
The rising star in the Silver Eagles, Praet has the fewest number of games under his belt, but already is amongst the most highly ranked Star Players in his team.
He scored a touchdown and was awarded MVP in his first outing, where he played the second half against the infamous Crashars.
Praet goes from strength to strength. In only his second game he scored 3 TDs, his nibble feet proving extremely effective against the Brennon Battlers. After a couple of heavy blows, Praet is no longer afraid of being hit a couple of times, and is straight back on his feet and ready to go!
