Bjorn Bjornsson, a promising rookie, was hired after the Stein of Strength's fourth game to take the place of Troll Slayer Magnus Magnusson, whose reckless (dauntless?) tactics resulted in a smashed back and an early retirement.
The newcomer therefore takes up the #1 jersey with some trepidation, and fans want to know- will he play it safe, or carry on Bjorn's indomitable style?

Olaf hails from the deep mountain mines of the Old World. The chasms and deeps of his childhood home were filled with all manner of unspeakable things (which we won't, obviously, speak of here). Olaf quickly learned that in order to survive, he needed to be fearless- indomitable- some might even say Dauntless.
He's taken to the Blood Bowl field now, and his battle-crazed nature has proven thus far to be a mixed blessing to his team: while his effectiveness on the pitch is indisputable, Olaf is a bit of a wild card and when he takes the field, even his own team has no idea where he'll end up!
Hailing from a remote mountain community in which Thurk'ak'ak (a game similar to Blood Bowl but with a rock instead of a ball, fewer rules and more wrestling) was the only diversion for young Dwarves, Heinrik's rough-and-tumble nature quickly resulted in a passion for the dangerous sport of Blood Bowl.
He's made a promising debut to the Academy Division now- we'll see if he can meet his fans' high expectations.
Ragnar's origins remain uncertain; he was found as an infant, under a boulder by an elderly dwarven lumberjack and raised as such. When he became a young Dwarf (about thirty) Ragnar left his adopted father to see the world.
So far, "seeing the world" consists of getting in brawls on the Blood Bowl pitch. Not exactly a rich or varied existence, but Ragnar doesn't seem to mind.

Torvald is one of those rare dwarves who, despite only being as fast as a slow human, are considered quick and nimble among their kind. His sure feet and hands made him quite effective on the pitch back home, but now he finds himself in the Academy League, among a team of much hardier players.
Torvald, therefore, is determined to make something of himself- he is one of the team's weak links, and refuses to stay that way for long!

An unknown in the Blood Bowl world, Igor's career started less than auspiciously when he suffered an injury during a game with the Uberwald Adders. Since then, he has been practicing relentlessly with teammate and fellow Runner Torvald, in an effort to make himself less prone to... well, in his words, "gettin' kilt ter death."

Before he took the field, Leif was a competitive eater in a large Dwarven community. He held several records (most notably, Most Shale Sandwiches Eaten in Twenty Minutes, with 85.3 sandwiches eaten) but eventually became so fat that he couldn't reach the platter!
Disgusted, his family forced him to freeboot at Blood Bowl matches, hoping that the exercise would do some good. They didn't count, however, on Leif gaining a passion for the game! He quickly signed on with the Stein of Strength, and on their training grounds he has turned most of his fat into muscle- making it quite difficult for his opponents to budge him. At all.
