Actually a zombie, albeit a relatively intact and personable one, Hacking Jim is the team's apothecary - he has to stitch himself back together often enough, it just comes as second nature.

Jim won't take the pitch unless there's no other choice, and should he be stunned or worse, the team can't make use of its medic - until he pulls himself back together, that is.
