Back in the good old days when The Cursed Picknickers were simply The Picknickers and played Blood Bowl for fun and exercise with each other, Jonathan was the local star of the game, the greatest catcher in the village. Unfortunately for Jonathan the role as a catcher turned out dramatically more dangerous when The Merry Fatfellows started playing leauge games and Jonathan has caught more broken noses than passes. However, after being cursed, Jonathan has been endowed with tremendous strength, turning the tables.

Claude Sweetbutter Jr. reluctancly took on the jeresy of his father in order to meet the requirements of the contract owned by The coach and necromancer of The Cursed Picknickers. Claude had no desire to join The Merry Fatfellows and simply hopes to be able to return to his family when the contract expires and the curse is lifted.

martin was originally a member of the cooking club The Picknickers and did not care much for the health and fitness branch of The Picknickers "Merry and In Shape Club". Martin was one of those who voiced concerns about playing a dangerous game such as Blood Bowl, and suggested that if exercise really was neccesary, that jogging might be a better alternative. By a marginal vote, it was decided that Blood Bowl would be the next exercise regime, not jogging.

Desite his cautious nature Claude steped up to the plate and played more than 10 games without ever being knocked out, and he even scored a game-winning touchdown and knocked an opponent on the ground once while playing on the original Picknickers. Martin always did his best on the field and has never blamed the others for the direction The Picknickers took.

Jonas' monicker "The Gutter" is, as the monickers of all the other players of The Merry Fatfellows, given to him back when the team was yet to be cursed, and so completely undeserved. It is the coach and apothecary of The now-cursed Picknickers that have assigned the players their various monickers in order to lure in bigger audiences and profits. The monickers, however, has become more appropriate after the cursing.

Jonas' monicker is however slightly more deserving that that of most of the Merry Fatfellows, as he actually has hurt an opposing player once, pre-curing, that is. It should be noted that Jonas acted in self-defence and genuinely apologized to the embarrased player in question, something which he now spends a lot more time doing after the curse.

Willie feels responsible for the fate of The Picknicers, as it was due to Willie being swindled into signing a contract that The Picknickers eventually turned into The Cursed Picknickers.

Willie has seen too many of his friends get injured or killed and has trouble not blaming himself for The Picknickers current situation and has taken up drinking. Willie subjects himself to reckless plays with no regards to his own safety in order to draw the opponents attention away from his teammates.

Midge has secretly been carrying a crush for Willie Meadowpuff for the longest time and signed up for the cooking club The Picknickers, the health and fitness club Merry and In Shape, and later The Blood Bowl team The Picknickers as well, in order to be around Willie.

Midge can't bear to see Willie in his current state and tries to keep him from dangerous situations by scooping up the ball before Willie can get to it.

Rene "Butterfingers" Cloudskittle is one of the true undead players on The Cursed Nitpickers, and not technically under the curse. A nasty tackle brought Rene down and as his blood spilled unto the grass of the field, Rene's friend, second cousin and team captain of The Picknickers, Willie Meadowpuff, desperately looked for an apothecary, but was unable to find one, and in desperation to save Rene's life, Willie was swindled into signing a contract that passed the ownership of The Picknickers over to a nceromancer, who has been running the team since.

Ollie was the founder of the cooking club The Picknickers which later merged with the health club Picknickers In Shape, which then eventually ended up as The Cursed Nitpickers. Ollie is fortunately merely cursed, not an actual undead, meaning that he, if the curse is to ever be lifted, may still return to his former self.

If Billie had known what his simple suggestion would lead to, he never would have said a thing. Like numerous of his team-mates, Billie has not yet been killed and raised from death, so there is still the hope of lifting the curse of the Picknickers and bringing the old Billie back.

Luck is a relative thing, but all things considered, Toby has never been killed and raised due to regeneration or necromancy, so if the Curse is ever lifted, there may be hope that Toby will be able to return to his former self.

Wally is the only of the players who earned his monicker while playing for the original Picknickers. Very uncharacteristically for a halfling, Wally took great delight in attempting to cause harm to the opposing players and would often swoop in after a treeman had knocked an opposing player down in order to make a nasty foul. Wally hasn't yet been killed and raised by necromancy, so if the curse is eventually lifted, Wally may revert to his old self, though it wouldn't make him any more pleasant to be around.

Klaus Biedermeier is a recent addition to the team and not one of the halflings playing on the team originally. A good, honest man in life, those who knew Klaus is outraged that he has been raised as a skeleton and have taken up advocating stricter punishments for grave robbing.
