Biography

Evander Vilefire felt highly humiliated when the Agility Monsters refused to hire him after his solid and bloody performance as a journeyman (see Agility Monsters Newsflash, November 29th of 2512). Harboring thoughts of revenge ever since, he finally came up with the idea to create a team consisting only of former journeymen who had been refused by the Agility Monsters. He got Nicholas and his brother Ian Dirtyorc enthusiastic about the idea and things started rolling...

Notable Events

In the Ballers' first match, Evander brought a Rabbit's Foot as his lucky charm. It did not help much but for a consolation completion in the last turn. However, he was awarded Most Valuable Player and he decided to keep the charm - as real pros do. In fact, he instructed the rest of his team to get rabbit foots or similar tokens as well.

When he got fouled by some skeletons in the team's fourth and first official league game, he got really angry, jumped up and smashed the ball carrier into so many pieces, that its creator had no chance to reassemble the parts and bring it back.
Only seconds later he was able to pick up the ball and score the second touchdown of his career.

In the Ballers' 5th game he missed two kickoffs due to sweltering heat. When he was on the pitch, he first failed an attempt to go for it, then one to dodge.

In the 12th game he caught a pass and was confidently moving forward towards the Slann endzone, shielded by four of his teammates. Suddenly a fireball hit the group out of nowhere and smashed Evander's ankle! Luckily the team apothecary fixed the damage and the team captain only needed an extended period to recover (MNG).

Biography

Original team member and co-founder of the Graceful Ballers. Brother of Ian Dirtyorc. Nicholas played his Agility Monsters match together with Evander Vilefire, who later founded the Graceful Ballers.

During his first match Nicholas used Gloves of Holding with some success. Unfortunately he was stopped close to the endzone, but Trey Grottyhawk was able to pick the ball up and score at the last second.

In his 7th game he killed emerging amazon star player Emese.

In the team's 11th game he hurt the minotaur that was attacking him badly and the tip of its left horn broke off. Nicholas grabbed it and now wears it around his neck as his lucky charm.

Notable events

Killed a skink on his team's first (!) block in turn 4 (!) of its second match.

After being knocked out half-way through the first half in his and the team's fourth match, he started the second half with picking up the ball and neatly passing it to his comrades. After his team had scored he stayed on the bench and started celebrating his second completion. Remembering Evander's order to get equipped with some kind of talisman, he decided this particular spot on the bench must have brought him luck. So he carved out a little piece of it, created a rough trinket from it and started wearing it during his games.

Notable Events

In his and the team's fourth game he stayed on the bench almost the whole game, only allowed to play the last three turns, when the game was already decided. So he did not do anything but to get knocked over and stand up again. In the last seconds of the game, he realized one of his bootlaces had gone loose.
As he bend over to tighten it up, he unwillingly dodged a skeleton's blow. The attacker overbalanced, fell and the referee blew the final whistle. The crowd was so amused by this ending that he was voted Most Valuable Player for his performance.
Finally being able to reconstruct the chain of events, he came to the conclusion, that his bootlaces must have brought him luck. By then he had found his lucky charm.

Biography

Original team member. Brother of Jack Grottyhawk. Played for the Agility Monsters together with Edward Coldtree


Notable events

Scored a touchdown in each of his team's first two matches. Decided that the dead bug that had been stuck in his beard for weeks must have brought him luck. Put it into an amulet and carried it around as his lucky charm.

Brother of Ulric Coldtree. After Ulric saw Edward play with the Ballers, he decided to try his luck with the Monsters - and to join his brother's team in case he didn't succeed.

Played for the Agility Monsters together with Trey Grottyhawk. They stayed in touch and when Evander Vilefire tracked him down for the Graceful Ballers, Edward quickly won Trey for the idea as well.

In his and the team's 10th game he got his hip smashed (-ma) by "Goat of Mass Destruction" Presley. Since his was in fact the first permanent injury the team suffered, he and his team mates immediately started a grudge against the beastmen team.

Brother of Nicholas Dirtyorc

In his third game, he accidentally smashed an elf's hip, forcing him into retirement.

In his 9th game he manage to catch the bouncing ball when Duane Silentlightning had failed to catch Osmond Deephawks long pass. Since he stood in the endzone himself, he scored the equalizing touchdown in the very last second of the game.

One game later he tried some balling himself, but failed to complete a pass in three attempts. He was awarded MVP for good efforts nonetheless. Since it was his first award and took him 10 games to get there, he spent a not insignificant part of his salary on a bracelet with the engravung "I.D. MVP #10" - his lucky charm thenceforward.

Game 6: He was chosen MVP. Inspired by that he wanted to present something special and started pumping the iron like mad... turned out well (+ST).

Played his Agility Monsters match together with Yorick Clumsybone who joined the Graceful Ballers as an assistant coach.

Notable Events

In his third match he did little more than hang around and throw three blocks, but he was awarded MVP anyway. He felt like this must have been his lucky day, so he decided his new yellow undershirt must have been the reason and never took it off again...

When playing for the Monsters, Edward faced one of the worst chaos nightmares the Ranked division had to offer by that time. It's yet unclear what impact it had on his soul.

Joined the Graceful Ballers for their third match and managed his first completion for his debut.

In his 3rd game (the Ballers' 5th) he earned the MVP award. Inspired by the honor, his agility increased almost immediately.

In his 10th game he managed to complete another two passes. He felt like it was time to choose a lucky charm, but couldn't think of one. So he decided the belt buckle his wife had forged for him was well enough - he wouldn't want to get rid of it anyway (in contrary to his wife).

Game 5: Deadly struck by a high elf, but the apothecary did his job exceptionally well and Osmond was able to play on!

Game 6: In the very last second of the match, Osmond is the only one barely in reach of the ball. He dodges from a goblin, goes for it, picks the pigskin up and throws a perfectly accurate long pass towards the three receivers waiting in the goblins' endzone - who manage to catch it as a joined effort, thereby securing the tie.

Game 8: Missed due to a groin strain, inflicted by a Chaos Dwarf mercenary.
