Part-time Bloodbowl player and full-time alcoholic, Gibbo is the captain of Gibbo's Beardy Blokes.

Considering the nature of his race and indeed profession, it came as a surprise to all when during a recent league match against a team of Lizardmen known as the Disco Boys, he displayed an agility that one commentator described as "like an elf... but somehow in a good way". Debate still rages over whether his taciturn post-game comment of "I don't remember any of that" was an attempt at humilty or merely the result of his drunkenness at the time.

However, in spite of his preternatural agility, Gibbo's days of touching down may be over. Insiders report that he has dropped running plays and ball-handling from his training regime, concentrating instead on grinding plays and scrimmage-work. Blitzer Derschnapper confirmed in a recent interview that he has taken up Gibbo's place working with star runner Kvik Ringko on the Blokes' so-called 'quick breaks', but refused to comment on rumours that this was due to Gibbo's beard becoming unusually long.

Ringko was drafted into the Blokes from the famous fighting Dwarfs of Kazad's 12th Tunnelfighters, where he served as a courier in the northern region of Uzuk-Nam during the Chaos incursions of '67-'69.

Noted for his team-oriented game, Ringko has defied Dwarf runner tradition with an unusual passing-and-blocking style of play. Observers point to a recent league match versus the Goreguzzlers as the best example of this unorthodox style, in which he chalked up an assist to Blokes captain Gibbo and, in a tragic setback for the Guzzlers, killed their star player Green Goat Cheese. In spite of his popularity, however, fans are unsure how to interpret reports of Ringko's behaviour later that day at the presentation ceremony for his MVP. Many simply don't believe that captain Gibbo's statement that "he was just as drunk as the rest of us" adequately explains reports that Ringko, in an apparently delirious state, implored the audience to "get the hell behind cover", and repeatedly insisted that he was "back in 'Nam."

Since his early career, many fans have insisted that Ringko has a magical ability to match the play-style of his opponents, citing the fact that his prodigious capacity for violence was first demonstrated in a game against the famously violent Chaos Goreguzzlers, and further that this curious event was followed soon after by a sudden and extraordinary increase in manual dexterity that manifested itself about halfway through a match against the Wood Elves of the Darkest Forest. Captain Gibbo recently dismissed the idea in the strongest terms, stating that "...if Kvik got magic, then I'm sober and you're pretty."

To the disappointment of (non-Dwarf) fans, it appears that Gibbo may be right. In a recent interview Ringko offered a different opinion, explaining that "...see, the Woodie can be anywhere, anytime... you think you're safe and then BAM! You and your formation are ambushed... if you wanna beat the Woodie, you gotta... you gotta think like the Woodie..."

After a pause in which he began to sweat, he added: "...you gotta BECOME the Woodie..."

Like many of the Blokes, Unter hails from Gibbo's Brewery, where he still works between games as a Master Brewer. He has recently emerged as the stalwart core to the scrimmage lineup of the Blokes, where his highly team-oriented, maximum-contact style serves as a vital support to his teammates.

His experience and central position on the scrimmage has led to his instrumental role in many of the famously unpredictable and highly varied Blokes plays, such as the "Box of Iron", the "Iron Line", the "Hot Liquid Iron" and the "Iron/Iron Double Back to Fist of Iron".
