Originally named simply as Juggernaught he eventually changed his name and added on the Zug part after watching his hero the Reikland Reaver brutal blitzer Zug in a smash fest game against the Darkside Cowboys. Wishing to emulate his hero is the reason he has since added the Zug part to his name now time will tell if any of the original Zugs luck in the sport will rub off on him.

Fast Ben Jansen is the 3rd generation of the famous Jansen family to play Blood Bowl and after his father retired from the Reavers he decided to pass his spot on the his first son Fast Ben Jansen II. The reavers had no use fo another Jansen on their books which meant that the talented Jansen III was quickly snapped up by the Darkside Devastators and now he feels he has a point to prove to his father which can hopefully mean good times for the Devastators.

Anakin is the son of a lowly farmer. Rather than follow in his fathers footsteps Anakin took part in a Devestators training camp and after crippling 3 fellow potentials he was snapped up and taken under the tutelage of the Darksides attacking coach and simply told to smash anyone who went in front of him to get the ball.

Kaz is the oldest player on the Devastators books. He is a Blood Bowl veteran having played for no less than 5 teams over the course of 12 seasons. Time is slowly catching up to Kaz and his throwing arm is not what it used to be but this is not as bad as it seems as his son Kaz Varlo Jnr is now being trained up to eventually take either his fathers place in the team in the future or to even join him on the grid iron.

Griegor came to the attention of the Darkside Devastators when their scouts attended a local amateur game outside of a small hamlet in the lower Reik. His ability to catch pass after pass singled him out to take the second catcher spot in the main team. Now he only has to try and emulate the more experienced and talented Ben Jansen and their certainly are signs that he could very well do that.

Ritbaum is the long distant relative of the great Ritbaum dynasty of Blood Bowl players but unlike his illustrious heritage he looks destined not to reach superstar status and this is in no way due to his MASSIVE belly but due to his downright laziness during training. However Ritbaum is content with his lot in life as simply a road block for his opponents and will continue to perform this roll as long as the team keep him in beer and food.

Gouger Goustav Oberman is another average player of Blood Bowl but the reason he maintains his place in the Devastators squad is due to the fact that he is a world class chef and can be found in the teams kitchens with the Halfling staff cooking up a storm before and after each of the teams games. This fact has made him a particular loved team mate of Fat Ritbaum who takes good care of his wonderfully talented friend and in Oberman ensures Ritbaum is always the first to get the food he prepares.

Meier has one simple dream in life. Survive the bloodiest sport in the world long enough to purchase his own private castle on the outskirts of Altdorf. He never spends any unnecessary cash which has resulted in his team mates ensuring he rarely is asked to the local tavern as he always finds a way to avoid paying for a round of drinks. The only reason he still has his place on the squad is due to his vicious spiked elbow smash which has claimed many an opponents teeth (which Meier has actually been known to sell back to them after the match in order to get just that closer to his dream).

Roberto comes from Telia and after spending some time in the Darksides reserve team he has found himself moving up into the big leagues.
Ferguson can only hope he proves himself as talented as Kaz Varlo as he hopes he can be. Also Roberto makes an amazing Spag Bol after every match for the team.

Leonardo is the polar opposite of his Brother Raphael. Where Leo is quite and contemplative to the point of his team mates wondering how in Nuffles sake he can be Raphaels twin. However all you have to do is look at how the twins behave on the field of play to see they are one and the same as they just simply love to hear the crunch of broken bone as their fists impact on their opponents bodies.

Of the two Von Heibert twins Raphael is known by all his team mates to be the biggest party animals on the entire team while his brother is the downer of the team. However no one can say that when the twins take to the field all in their way best move or simply get smashed in the face.

Frank joined the Daarkside Devastators as a straight replacement for the retired Logan Magnuson who suffered a debilitating injury in a match against What's Dead Is Dead in the 145 Rookie League XXXIII - Grand Championship semi final.
Frank was immediately promoted from the Devastators reserves pool as a natural replacement for Magnuson.
