Gekkoukan Lady Pyros
Chie is energetic and outgoing, the "extrovert" compared to Yukiko being the "introvert". She has a bright and upbeat personality, often trying to cheer up the group by joking about the case. She can be somewhat short tempered, especially with Yosuke, and is slow to back down from a challenge.

Rise Kujikawa is a cheerful girl and one of the most popular idols in Japan known as "Risette" in Japanese). Supposedly, she had even performed in Iwatodai two years in the past. However, she quits her job and moves to Inaba to live with her grandmother, tired of the spotlight.[73] Shortly after arriving to Inaba, Rise is kidnapped and taken to the TV world, where her other self is manifested. Rise's Shadow represents her anger at being stereotyped as an airheaded popstar, represented as a sex symbol.[74] When the protagonist and his friends come to rescue her, Rise accepts her Shadow as part of herself, stating she does not have a real self. Immediately after, she gains the Persona Himiko , a black humanoid in a white dress with a satellite dish in place of a head, which she uses to help the Investigation Team to stop Teddie's Shadow. In an interview, Atlus's Masaru Nanba noted that "Risechie" would not translate well into roman letters for the west, and that the French-sounding "Risette" was chosen instead. This also changed her catchphrase from "Rise-Cheese" to "Push Risette"

Naoto Shirogane is a young detective who moves to Inaba in order to aid the police in investigating the serial-murder case.Although Naoto is female, she dresses as a boy in imitation of the heroic men from detective fiction whom she admired growing up. She pretends to be male to gain respect from the police.Various outfits to hide her sex were made during the game's development with some being less effective in hiding it.Learning of the main characters' actions related to the case, Naoto uses herself as bait by appearing on TV to be kidnapped by the culprit. The group follows her to the TV world, where Naoto is confronted by her shadow, representing Naoto's resentment towards being treated as a child by the police as well as her views on the police force being dominated by men. Naoto manages to come in term with her feelings and the Shadows turns into the Persona Sukuna-Hikona, a robotic humanoid wearing a blue suit jacket that has insect-like head and butterfly-like wings
Yukiko Amagi is a rich and elegant young woman who is popular with boys and girls alike. At first, Yukiko is very introverted, but she gets livelier after she is rescued from the Midnight Channel. Often scoring the best during exams, she is intelligent and often repeats the material with her best friend Chie Satonaka.
A popular second-year girl at Gekkoukan High School. She is the first one the protagonist meets upon arriving at the dorms. Her father was a researcher for the Kirijo Group before his death 10 years prior
quiet girl who takes simple pleasures such as painting or just being with her friends, and in her youth her poor health made her profoundly unhappy, as it denied her most of these simple delights
The elegant and bossy heiress of the Kirijo Group, a third-year at Gekkoukan. She was the first to awaken to her Persona. She and Akihiko lead SEES, and she is the initial provider of outside support during battle.
Teddie is usually bubbly and cute and is known to lighten the mood when investigating the case, much like Chie. Possibly due to being a Shadow unfamiliar with the human world, or perhaps due to being a cartoon bear, Teddie has a lot of childish naivety, innocence, and is pure of heart. He doesn't know a lot of human customs, does not know what "scoring a hot stud" means
