Vincent Vega is a hitman and associate of Marsellus Wallace.

He had a brother named Vic Vega who was shot and killed by an undercover cop while on a job. He worked in Amsterdam for over three years and recently returned to Los Angeles, where he has been partnered with Jules Winnfield.

Vega was a recently paroled career criminal hired by a gangster named Joe Cabot to perform a jewelry heist with a team of professional thieves. During the robbery, he makes good on a threat to massacre the entire store after the alarm had been tripped, forcing the team to flee to the designated safehouse. He takes police officer Marvin Nash hostage as he escapes. At the safehouse, he gets into a confrontation with fellow robbers Mr. White and Mr. Pink over whether or not to help their compatriot Mr. Orange, who has been badly wounded.

While his teammates go to dispose of some stolen cars, he tortures Nash, cutting his ear off and threatening to set him on fire. As he is about to kill his victim, however, Mr. Orange shoots him several times in the chest, killing him.

Frankie Four Fingers was a jewel thief with a penchant for gambling and a humorous accent. He was a close business partner with Avi, a New York Jewish gangster. Frankie stole a diamond near the end of his life and was kidnapped by a gang of London crooks looking for it. He was accidentally shot by Russian gun dealer Boris the Blade (or Boris the Bullet Dodger).

Sonny is a desperate man, an outsider to society, who sees no options except breaking the rules to get what he needs. He is a Vietnam Veteran, with some background experience working in a bank, is bisexual (married to a man and a woman simultaneously) and strongly suspicious of authority. When faced with the failure of the bank robbery, Sonny refuses to give in, perhaps because Sal, his partner, is a psychopath who would choose to shoot the hostages and kill himself in order not to be captured. Sonny improvises a wild plan that somewhere deep inside he knows could never succeed, but which does make it possible for the police to rescue the hostages from Sal. In the meantime, as the film unfolds, we come to see Sonny as a sympathetic, if misguided, product of an uncaring society.

Söze was once a petty drug dealer beginning his criminal career in his native Turkey. The entity that is Keyser Söze is born when rival Hungarian smugglers invade his house while he is away, rape his wife and hold his children hostage; when Söze arrives, they kill one of the children to show him their resolve, then threaten to kill his wife and remaining children if he does not surrender his business to them. Rather than give in to their demands and to spare his family from having to live with the memory of what has happened, he shoots his own wife and remaining children and all but one of the Hungarians, knowing that the survivor would tell the mafia what has happened.

The Joker is a master criminal with a clown-like appearance who murders people for his own amusement. Little else is known about him.

Not much is known of his background other than the fact that he's a criminal and never made it past the sixth grade. As for weapons, he has a crow bar (like Marv) which he uses to break into Kevin's house and a gun which becomes useless when it's filled with a sort of slime from Kevin's booby traps. So, he never uses it and it's supposedly taken away by the police. In the second film, Harry still has the "M" from the McCallister doorknob branded on his hand from when he touched it not knowing that Kevin had heated it up.

Marv is a professional burglar. He was the one who planned to rob a store on Christmas eve and almost succeeded in doing it by robbing all the cash from the cash register but got stopped once again and fell for all the traps and got arrested by the cops again.

H.I. is an ex-con that is trying his best to follow the straight path and start a family, but Ronald Reagan, a checkered past and some former friends are making it hard for him.

A programmer at a company called Initech who is frustrated and unmotivated at his job. When he receives news his two friends are to be fired, the trio decide to get even by infecting Initech's accounting system with a computer virus designed to divert fractions of pennies into a bank account they control, transactions they believe are small enough to avoid detection, but which over time will result in a substantial amount of money.

A former special forces unit "Black Light" Lieutenant, he was the youngest man decorated by the President. Once a war hero in the campaigns in Leningrad and Siberia, he is now a convicted bank robber. He has long hair and wears an eye patch and a black sleeveless t-shirt, urban camouflaged pants and black motocross boots. Plissken is arrested for robbing the Federal Reserve Depository in Atlanta, Georgia in 1997. However, he was to be given a presidential pardon if he completed a task. The job was to find the President of the U.S. whose plane crashed in New York which is now maximum security prison. The bridges are mined and the skies guarded. Seemed like a good deal for Plissken, however, there is a catch. He is injected in the neck into the carotid arteries with two microscopic capsules containing explosives, heat sensing charges of a size of a pinhead. In 23 hours the capsules will be completely dissolved and the charges will blow. However, the charges can be neutralized by x-rays in the last 15 minutes. In order to have this done he must rescue the President and a tape recording. Snake is armed with technical gear and weapons including a Suppressed Scoped Mac-10, Scoped Magnum, throwing knifes, Glider, and other tools. He ends up rescuing the President with help from a cab driver, an old friend, and the old friend's "squeeze." However, Plissken destroys the tape recording as he walks away into the night.
