Raised on the Isle of Sartosa in a well known pirate family, Bluebeard started his naval career as the First Mate aboard the Scaled Dog. After serving the Dog for years, a storm shipwrecked the boat just as he was being given the deeds to the ship after his fathers death. He then went on to become captain of the Sigmar before another storm nearly drowned him and his crew. With the Sigmar a nearly sunk, he launched a raid on a merchant ship carrying salt to the mainland. After a brief but vicious battle he won and renamed her Salty Dog after the first ship he was meant to captain but never did.

Chef Bolton. Cook, crock and crockpot all rolled into one maniac in the depths of the Salty Dog.

The first to cross ships when boarding with a cutlass in one hand and a bottle of rum in the other. When boarding parties are over and all the treasure looted, it's Firebeard who has to return to the now empty ship with a barrel of burning pitch and a torch.

After settling in Sartosa when the Dreadfleet left him behind, Lohar decided he wanted an end to pirate life. Lacking the coin to leave Sartosa on a ship not destined for pillaging proved to be harder than he anticipated so he made a willing addition to the Dogs.

Eryx came into the service of Bluebeard after being freed from a prison hulk. Once the Watcher of the Waters aboard the Crimson Ebony of the Dreadfleet, he can now be found up in the crows nest of the Salty Dog.

Brutal murderer and ferocious fighter. Greatly revered aboard the Salty Dog and a good friend of Firebeard.

The brewer on board. Once a prisoner of Bluebeard but his brewing skills bought him his semi-freedom.

Brother of Thorg and one half of the two ogre team tasked with the positioning of cannons, heavy goods and cracking heads. Not much of a thinker however.

A masterful swordsman. Carvell also bears the sharpest cutlass in Sartosa when boarding ships. Single handed he can hold off an enemy boarding party and more than once has cut his way through soldiers of the Empire who've tried to block him and his fellow pirates from returning to the ship.
