Plattekill is a ski resort located just outside of Roxbury, NY.
FINALLY made his infallible mark on the squad in the NWC Championship match, in both a good and bad way.
THE BAD: Failed 4 different times to pick up a ball in OT that would have sealed the game.
THE GOOD: Realizing that he wouldn't pick it up, scrambled down the field to at least give his team a chance to win on t8. He DID manage to catch a ball thrown at him by Linda Kirkside, a Pro Wight, and run in on t8 to avoid the coin toss and win the NWC Championship 1-0 over the Butte Kickers.

A famous naturalist, Burroughs' summer home, Woodchuck Lodge, was built in Roxbury NY in 1908. Burroughs is buried there, at the foot of a rock where he played while a child.
Woodchuck Lodge was delcared a National Historic Site in 1962, with guides and teachers offering demonstrations of such things as early techniques in tanning, preservation, and apple pressing.

One of the infamous "Robber Barrons" in the mid to late 1800's, Gould was born in Roxbury, NY. Upon his death, he was one of the benefactors for the reconstruction of the Reformed Church of Roxbury, known now as the Jay Gould Memorial Reformed Church. Gould, in his early years, refused to go into farming, like his father. He devoted himself, instead, to the study of surveying and mathematics.
History paints him in quite the unfavorable light, being shrewd and manipulative. He is also said to have been the cause of the Black Friday scare of 1869. By attempting to manipulate gold prices, he believed that there would be a large rise in the price of wheat, bringing wheat farmers to sell. This, in turn, would cause a tremendous amount of shipping of wheat products (such as bread) east. This would grow Gould's railroad business. The bid was only somewhat successful, as much of his earnings from the Black Friday scare were lost in resulting litigation brought against him.
The church in Roxbury still bears his name today.

A beautiful restored mansion and adjoining park in Roxbury behind the Jay Gould Memorial Church, restored by Jay Gould's granddaughter, Helen Gould-Shepard.
It had fallen into serious neglect/disrepair until it was restored by a public campaign in 1980, renovating the surrounding areas to the beautiful family area it is today.

Located about 20 miles outside of Roxbury, the old Andes Motel, pictured here, used to be the famous home for Friday night Smorgasbord.
A recent acquisition, Marcos elected to move to Roxbury after much of the crime from Mexico City got to him. He's now found a home with us.

A town just before Belleayre Mountain, off of Route 28.
The town is home to a very large community of the Hasidic Jewish faith, often leading to some traffic issues on Saturdays. The town itself is old, small, and beautiful.

The town has a post office, which serves Denver, Vega, and a few small surrounding areas.
Traded from the Butte Kickers for future considerations.
