El Gigante is a professional Amorical Football player for the Halfling team Mini-Estrellas. As none of the Halflings know the Treeman’s real name, in reference to its imposing size, it was nicknamed as "El Gigante". Averaging 6 bone shaking blocks per game, El Gigante towers over the central position in every Mini-Estrellas match!
Wrestling Career
Legends of Grappling
El Gigante was sprouted and raised in Riverwood, The Moot. Its wrestling career began in 2429, when he was scouted for the Legends Of Grappling. In the all Treeman wrestling federation, he formed a tag team with El Roble. Together, they were known as the "Mili-tree," and they held the LOG Tag Team Championship on three occasions in a 55 year career.
Mini-Estrellas Wrestling
The tag team joined MEW after a chance meeting with Bobi “Mac” Maccington, the Head Trainer for the Halfling wrestling federation. Mac wooed the titanic tag team with promises of increased contracts and extra fungicide treatments.
The Mili-tree began a feud with the Halfling stable, The BuffetBotheringBadBoys. The duo won the MEW Tag Team Championship just a month after their debut by defeating the stable in a 2 on 6 match. The two then went on to compete in their first MootMania match at MootMania XIX, retaining their tag title in a Triple Threat match against two of BBBB, and Bam Bam and KeMonito. After MootMania XIX, MEW hierarchy split the tag team up after backlash deeming Treemen vs Halfling fights to be both unethical and the cause of a rising injury bill.
Singles Career
El Gigante began its singles career shortly afterwards. Its first fight was in 2485 against journeyman Treeman, The Great Spruce. El Gigante won this match with great form, dispatching The Great Spruce in lumbering ease. It then went on a 170 match winning streak, facing off against Treemen, Orcs, two Trolls, and one Snow Troll.
While not the quickest or most charismatic wrestler on the roster, El Gigante proved a hit with the young fans of MEW. Bobi “Mac” Maccington and MEW owner Vini “The Viper” Russborg took this as a sign to create a championship for the Treemen fights, seeing them as a money spinner as opposed to the freak show fights of the past.
MEW Treeman Champion (2488–2492)
In the Winter of 2487, the first Treeman Championship Tournament began. The tournament was an elimination event, pitting El Gigante against The Great Spruce, Birch Blackwood, and former partner El Roble.
In a rematch of its debut singles bout, El Gigante faced The Great Spruce in a Lumberjack match at Snow Plow 6: Morr Money Morr Problems. The two Treemen entered the ring surrounded by the entire Halfling roster, each stunty wielding an axe to chop down any Treeman that tried to escape the ring. Yet such equipment was unnecessary, as El Gigante dispatched The Great Spruce with his trademarked Branch Bomb within the first five minutes.
In the other tournament match, El Roble defeated Birch Blackwood to set up a match between the former Tag Champions at MootMania XX.
El Gigante extended his undefeated streak in a match with Ironwood Hardhead. However during the bout El Gigante punched Ironwood Hardhead’s hard head, breaking its own hand in the process and briefly taking it out of action. El Gigante returned in the weeks before MootMania XX, but with no other matches before the special event.
The atmosphere at MootMania XX was electric. El Roble, joined by recent managerial addition of “Loud Mouth” Lumpy, entered the ring first. After El Gigante finished its long, languishing lope to the ring, the two Treemen spent what felt like an age staring into each other’s face. Referee Rudi Gamblefoot rang the bell and the two Treemen collided in a flurry of bark, splinters and leaves. Each swinging branch hit with a force that would decapitate a man sized creature, yet still the former partners continued. After a solid half an hour of action, El Gigante suffered an injury to the same hand that had broken earlier in the year. Undeterred he continued on, laying out El Roble with a monstrous headbutt. El Roble lay stunned, and, unable to stand following the referee’s 10 count, the match was awarded to El Gigante.
El Gigante would hold the title until 2492, going undefeated in 30 title defences. Shortly before the dissolution of the MEW, El Gigante volunteered to drop his title to a young sapling that was suffering from Estalian Rot. El Gigante lay down in the ring for the sapling to pin the champion, and take the championship.
El Gigante finished its wrestling career with a record of 203-1

In 2492 the MEW was liquidated due to a scandal involving performance enhancing potions after The Great Bamboozle appeared to gain an extra half his weight in muscle overnight. The MEW was disbanded, leaving the wrestlers looking for their next venture. Coincidentally this overlapped with the disappearance of Mr Russborg, along with the coffers.
With no federation to compete for, the wrestlers were worried for their future. Some joined travelling circuses, fighting for money against the average village folk, whereas some managed to gain contracts at Busted Al’s Prize Scrappin’.
The remaining Halflings and Treemen joined the lucrative NAF tournaments. El Gigante used his natural strength and resilience to form a front line partnership with tag partner El Roble. The powerful partnership combined to push their team to a 3-0 debut victory over Build Your Weapons! in the Royal Rookie Rumble. However a semi-final loss halted the team’s progress.
El Gigante struggled with the vast open space of the football pitch to begin with, not causing its first casualty until the team’s third game, a 2-0 loss to the Dark Elf team Delfts Blackin a Bar Room Brawl game.
