Ethanol Cordials
Cognac has been something of an ill-luck position for this incarnation of the Cordials. The first Cognac suffered from an early injury, which limited his mobility and mostly relegated him to time on the front line. The second Cognac was a bright spark which burned briefly, succumbing to numerous minor injuries which eventually prevented him from playing.
This Cognac is hoping for a less injury-prone path to stardom. Only time will tell.

The original Porto was arguably the backbone of the Cordials. For over 40 games, if you wanted a nasty job done and done right, Porto was your man. But wear and tear builds up over the ages and it was time that he took a well-deserved vacation. Now Porto II has a chance to fill some awfully big shoes.
Fortunately, Porto II is growing into an awfully big player...

In spite of all the set backs suffered in his career, particularly a hairline fracture along the side of his skull, Kahlua is still one of the top Throwers in FUMBBL today. He's still jumping in there and playing tough on both offense and defense to, 'Show these youngsters (mostly octagenarians, for the record) how it's done."
In the 63rd game played by the Cordials, Kahlua has finally reached Legendary status. After playing in every single one of those games, the years and constant strain may finally be catching up with him (finally niggled upon aging). He's still out there on the field most of the time, faster and stronger than ever. Kahlua has played in every single game and racked up at least one completion in all but three of them.
Proud member of the <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=stats&op=top10">Top Ten Club</a> and my first legend ever. Also, coincidentally, one of the oldest players on FUMBBL chronologically. One of the first 200 or so players in the league.
While the original Grappa will never truly be replaced (129 SPPs, no injuries, no aging, blodge, catch, leap, passblock, sidestep, Nerves of Steel... top 10 TDs and Interceptions back in his day... until killed by a rookie ghoul on a 1 die block and raised as a <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=934">zombie</a> eradicating his career from the storied volumes of FUMBBL), Grappa Mk.IV simply wishes to remind the world of his predecessor's accomplishments through superior play and sportsmanship.
Of course, this will never happen so long as Mk.IV keeps getting KO'd or BH early in the match and he never seems to get the chance to earn any SPPs....

The position of Frambois is traditionally a second-stringer for Kahlua. The current Frambois III, however, has different ideas...
"It's time for a change. I fully respect all that Kahlua has done for the team and the fans but that's no reason for me to play at anything other than the best of my ability. I shall be just as great as Kahlua. His time has come and gone. After 64 games as starter, we need a fresh approach. The fans demand it!"
Of course, every time someone reads this description, Frambois III's family is fined 100 Gold Crowns for heresy...

Amaretto has always been considered an unlucky position, however its latest 'victim' would disagree. According to him, "Each of my predecessors has had the chance to go off to the Sunset Realm doing what brought them joy and honor. What more could an elf ask for?"
Like his predecessor, Chambourd 2.0 is Bailey's constant companion on the line. He is respected amongst his peers as being a team player who's willing to hold off the forces of evil for the sake of the score, while always keeping an eye out for a play of his own. Chambourd 2.0 wants to be a star. All he has to do is survive.
Bog Water 2.0 is the charity case on the team. The Cordials, in living up to their name, traditionally have one of the 'peasant stock' on their roster at all times. They claim this is to keep themselves humble, although that is much debated. Personally, BW2 couldn't be more delighted. His job isn't glamorous, but he's succeeded in his lifelong dream, to play Blood Bowl.
Goldschlaeger Jr. has some catching up to do. He joins the team at a time of flux, as they are in the process of rebuilding - yet again. Hopefully this youngster will amount to something more than his predecessors, who have never had particularly illustrious carreers.
Brandy's one of the new faces that have been receiving a lot of attention from the main office. His phenomenal strength is a much needed asset on the team, if only he can get into position to use it. Expect to see his name a lot more in future reports.
With tears in their eyes, the team still lines up single file to rub Bailey's helmet before each match. It's no longer a celebration, however, but a lament for poor Bailey 1.0, dead on a foul.
Absinthe is most easily recognized by his brilliant green skin and accessories. This actually stems from a practical joke, started over 1400 years ago in the second age by the 122nd iteration of the Cordials. The player who gave up his name to become Absinthe was accepted for his phenomenal strength, but he came with an old war wound, a misshapen foot. As such he was a bit slower, less nimble and stronger than the rest of his fellows, so they started jokingly calling him 'Ye Olde Greeneskinne.'<br />
Since then, every player who stepped into the role of Absinthe has dyed his skin the chartreuse color of his namesake. Most of them consider the alternative way to honor their predecessor would be to maim their own foot. Kind of makes the green skin a little more acceptable.
