WELCOME TO FUMBBL!
This thread is for all you new and newer coaches to introduce yourselves, ask questions and possibly even get some answers.
Click HERE for the Welcome to FUMBBL page. It's full of useful links and info', and the names of several experienced coaches who are happy to receive messages with questions about FUMBBL. We even have a few who speak other languages if that helps.

Yep, I can set it up on a publicly viewable notes page and add the link. Might actually work better that way than the PM.
Edit: Added as a link to a notes page, still shows in exactly the same way the PM did. |

You should send a ticket, requesting that it be stickied. (ahhh ok I see you already thought of that).
The problem is though, that most new players do not use the search function and that the search function on PNphp is pretty poor. |

Hi everyone. I am a new Coach. Eysteinthewise. Thanks for creating such an amazing community and way to play Blood Bowl here on fumbbl.com. Looking forward to the day my wood elf team actually manage to win a game by fluke luck. Also if someone have any contacts with nurgle or the dice gods please let him know I am a bit tired of blitzes against my team now |

Hey I'm new
I found the FAQ and assorted references to be quite self-explanatory and helpful, but guarantee I will forget them in-game until they become second nature (but then this has been the case since I first held die).
I've played less than 30 games total (including 145 club games). And started off in blackbox. As Gobbos. I've yet to meet a player I wouldn't happily play again and in general have encountered no animosity.
I still find the assorted leagues a bit of a headspin - since I always viewed them as fluff-centres and I'm not sure what the status is here (I think the unscheduled nature of the 145 league does that - and I think that its nature might actually be disadvantageous; if you want to encourage rookies with "casual" games, a league where a group of teams race to high TV early on can be off-putting). Other than that, I'm happy to play anyone, if they're happy to play me
[edit] I also apologise in advance to anyone who plays my teams for the extra icons they will inevitably load. I just like graphics |

Yeah that is true about open leagues, but there's no perfect format. Trying to work a scheduled league with new players is an absolute nightmare with drop outs.
I think open league and the tournies are the best formats and inducements work pretty well for lower rated teams. |
