I like passing and scoring teams above those that play a game of attrition. Tried Elfs in all flavours, but always come back to Skaven because of the cheap linemen. At least I can field them more often than not with a full 11+ roster.

Since I prefer my players alive, I decline matches with teams I suspect are built for destruction. Think multiple DPs, Claw/RSC and most dwarfs.
