I first played Blood Bowl in 2004, I played in one table top league. I fell in love with the game but never was able to commit the time to play in any more leagues due to other commitments.
I was told about FumBBL in June 2008... jumped on immediately. The freedom to play when I have time is PERFECT!
I've been working on my personal Blood Bowl philosophy, and so far this is what I have:
Fouling:
- If I haven't fouled in the half, than I will foul on turn 8.
- If I have fouled in the first half, and see an opportunity to remove a key player on turn 8, I will foul
- If I don't have 2 CAS yet, and it's turn 8... yes, I will foul
- If you foul me on turn 8, and you kill my player, I might complain briefly. But I will congratulate you on the play.
- If you don't foul me on turn 8, I'll wonder why not.
- If you offer to 'not foul me'... I won't play against you
- I will NEVER offer not to foul.
Crowd Pushes:
- I don't like to see turn 8 crowd pushes. That's just plain dirty.
- Other than that, crowd pushing is a great strategy.
Getting Nuffled:
- Nuffle loves you... sometimes. Unless I'm having really bad luck (4-5 double skulls in a row) I will probably just take bad luck in stride and enjoy the game.
- If you're whining about your bad luck, I will feel for you. If you keep whining, I will ignore you.
Choosing matches:
- I will never be offended by someone who doesn't want to play my team
- I will secretly think to myself that you are a pansy if you don't play me though. But you'll never know about that.
Winning:
- I will always try to win the game. To date (10/5/9) my win percentage is 25%... apparently I'm not doing very well at this winning thing. I will keep trying though.
