Once upon a time... a boy stumbled into a Games Workshop store and - despite he was originally looking for computer games - left with a Warhammer fantasy blister (If Iremember correctly it was an Acolyte of the Light Order). One thing lead to the other. The boy played 40K 2nd edition, 'grew up' to play the 'much more complex' Warhammer Fantasy Battles, thought for some time a small skirmish like Necromunda would fit his needs, but found his true favorite even before: Blood Bowl 3rd Edition!
All that could proof I am an old Blood Bowl veteran. But really I am not. After some years in the late 1990s with a much higher share of hobbying than actual playing Blood Bowl (the times are long gone, but I think it wasn't more that 20 games then), the game and the whole hobby sank into oblivion.
Untill 2023 when 'The Bonehead Podcast' appeared on my youtube starting page and introduced me to Blood Bowl 7s. My favorite Tabletop in less than an hour! That sounded like a perfect match... unfortunatly I needed to learn that playing a table top game - even if it is only a sevens match - does not fit into my personal circumstances. And here FUMBBL enters the stage: Finding opponents at almost every time of the day or night, no travel time, the client supporting fast and convenient games... Perfect! So that is why I am here since December 2023 and try to master the game.
I like playing Elven teams, especially Elven Union, Skaven and Necromantic Horror. And for the fun of it Snotlings and Goblins or when really in a bad mood Underworld.
While I am not really interested in my coach standing or anything alike I want to improve in the game and learn. Which does not mean that games should not be relaxed and fun. The ideal game - even if I lose it - would be against a nice opposing coach, with some glorious actions, much movement and some puzzles on the pitch. Maybe that is the reason why I do not like playing (against) Dorfs.
See you at the sideline!
The badges do in no way define who I am and thus the 'About' area may not be the right place to collect them... but it is convenient and therefore I still do it. ;-)
