For those that read these things and are interested in where I've vanished off to:
I just kind of wandered away for a break, and haven't really felt any urge to come back since. I guess at some point I may be back for some casual play, but it's doubtful I'd ever be as heavily involved with things beyond matches in the way I once was. It's a fun place, and there's some seriously good people involved in Fumbbl. To all those who kept me laughing, or at least smirking for so many years - thank you, you know who you are.

edit Oct 2018: some people have noticed my sporadic recent appearances of late. I just pop in to play a game or two here and there, and will not be carrying on any of the projects I was once involved with. If anyone wishes to take over any of them and wants access or the BBCode used PM me and I'll try to help you out on one of my rare visits.
My zombies and flings will foul. A lot. Don't be suprised when it happens.
I play for fun, so if the match up doesn't look like I'd have fun I'll turn it down. Also if your team build is a smash-the-opponent-to-pieces looking set up, I'll probably say no.
I mostly play in ranked, and yes, I'll avoid some match ups. Feel free to call me a picker. There are some I avoid because it's massively one sided. There are some I avoid because the coaches play in silence. There are some I avoid because the coach is a bit of a twunt. I've never claimed to be a great coach, and I'm not. If I accepted every match offered with the kind of teams I play as I'd almost certainly have rookie CR :D
Dorfs are really dull to play as or against. I had a dorf team, with a theme I loved but I still don't play them because it's soooooo boring. Grind grind grind grind...
Please, please don't play crazy slow and silent. Slow and non-chatty players are boring as all hell. I win some, I lose some and that's fine.....but please don't suck all the fun out of playing. I don't want to feel like I just spent fourty five minutes to an hour and a half watching a random number generator on loop.
People take this place waaaaaay to seriously. It's just a game, and if you aren't having fun you're doing it wrong.
I play novelty teams in ranked a lot, like my all zombie undead team. Because of this my CR is a bit misleading. I'm by no means a great coach, but I'm experienced and usually at least capable of doing the basic stuff.
I play 'flings a fair bit too. Please don't play my 'flings if you cant handle losing to them. Occasionally it happens! If I'm playing my flings, they get hungry so I like to have a chef on standby. Make sure you can provide one ;)
