My reasons for fouling.
1. It's Blood Bowl.
2. May help my casualty stats.
3. It's Blood Bowl. Isn't there a pansy no fouling elf-bowl league on fumbbl?
4. May SI/RIP a player so the next guy has an easier time.
5. It's Blood Bowl. Throw a rock is way nastier than a foul.
6. May eliminate a positional player your team is overdependent on.
7. It's Blood Bowl. Notice the blood in the name?
I've encountered whiny people who don't like fouling, or crowd pushing, or whatever tactic they do not use. I just think they should be playing a different game. If you want to play Blood Bowl, learn fouling, learn to be fouled, learn crowd-pushing, learn to be crowd-pushed. If you have a team you love so much you can't bear to watch any of them die, retire them! Don't whine when they get killed. You were complicit in their doom by ordering them onto the pitch.
Don't play for the tactical goal of winning one match, play for the strategic goal of your team surviving ten thousand. You can play Bright Crusaders and never foul, but you can't stop other coaches fouling you. Unless you find a different game to play.
OTOH you *can* stop a T16 foul by making sure the other player can score. 'Cos he can't if his player gets sent off. Even the most murderous coaches would likely pick up some safe SPP rather than risk them on a foul. May get him a new DP for the next match, and you're never gonna have to play him again, cos its not like ranked is a league or anything.....
