Hi everyone! I've been playing BloodBowl since the 90's. My older brother taught me the original game and it has been my favorite board game ever since. The mixture of fantasy, blood, gore, tactics, progressive challenges and skilling up players, oh and of course that rainy day luck-effect, make it absolutely addicting.
Recently back on fumbbl after many years away, and excited about the new rules.
I have played in (and even won a few) real world tournaments and leagues across the US. Participated in the ABBL in Austin for several years (wood elves), Bloomington Bloodbowl (dwarves) League long before that.
Always,
Prepare for the worst. Expect the dice to fail you. Plan the crisis backup plan. Don't only blame the dice. Consider the choices you didn't make before the roll. That is where the decision began. Ultimately, love the failure - learn the hard lesson.
Smile, shrug it off and move on.
