First time I came into contact with BloodBowl was in '95-'96 I think, I had just started my first year of Veterinary Medicine at University, I went to this small fantasy gathering together with my brother in search for fighting fantasy books (you know Ian livingstone and Steve Jackson)...didn't find any FF books (so hard to find those in Belgium...thank god for ebay). We did meet this dude sitting at a table with a blood bowl field in front him...when he saw us (we came in early, our student studio was nearby) he asked if we wanted to try this game because he had planned a demo match but his partner didn't show up. Can't remember who played the orcs and who the humans...but fact is...WE LOVED IT! Few days later we were both sniffing up the new smell of our very own blood bowl game :p
After playing some standard orc vs human games to get the hang of the rules, we started thinking about a team of our own. My bro ended up with skaven, although he actually wanted high elves but he couldn't find the team in the shops. I ended up with wood elves, origanally I was gonna play halflings but couldn't find them in the shop and since I already had a tree man... .
***Play Information***
-prefer not to use proxy as it is less stable
-there is life besides blood bowl : I'm a veterinarian so on a rare occasion I can get interrupted by a phone call or an urgent client
-I don't mind chatting during the game (in fact I even like it), but don't start wining about turns occasionally taking slightly longer than 4minutes then...I'm no mutated skaven or chaos with three arms that can type and move the mouse at the same time (only games that ever took more than 2 hours are those against my bro, all the rest finished well within 2 hours which is a normal length for a game)
-I hardly ever commit a fool...but don't expect me to have my players looking at flowers and butterflies on the pitch when you decided to blitz one of my players in the last turn and ended up smack on your face between a bunch of my players...so quit your whining...the game is called Blood Bowl not Sissy Bowl (it's bad enough they got to invent these new sissy rules every five minutes)
-AND MOST IMPORTANT OFF ALL LET'S TRY TO ENJOY THE GAME
