I don't have any problem with this concession.
But I thought the big downside to concessions were that your stars potentially left the team? I don't see any rolls to that effect.

With 2 or fewer players on the pitch you are allowed to concede. Your stars won't even roll to leave in that situation.
IF you have 3 or more players anyone with 51+ spp will roll to see if they will leave.

As far as conceding, though, i never saw the point of even conceding when you have 2 guys left. The game will be over in 5 minutes anyway... take your money, take your MVP and move on.
