Just a little tip for taking pictures of minis:
If you're using a digital camera, look for the 'macro' setting. It usually looks like a little flower. It's specifically for photographing small objects, and keeps them form getting all blurry.
Can't really comment on the quality of the paintjob when the picture is so blurred.

If you get the job do they give you the photography tutorial? :)
that said, your efforts appear to better than my first attempt in both painting and photographing.

I still remember the feeling of extreme satisfaction after painting my first figure as an adult. Do you have the same silly feeling of accomplishment?
Grats on the paint job, hope it is the first of many.

I can remember it too. I was 16 and we were on tramping through scotland/england and then went to portsmouth and ordered about 400 punds sterling worth of Ral Partha Battletech figurines. while waiting there we also went to the local GW store were we bought a box of marines and a basic paint set and started painting there :) Also bought Fist of the North Star in the Shop which I've seen about 200 hundred times until now....ah those were the times :)
