Been a long time since first and only entry. In that time had a few games but nothing compared to some of the maniacs you see on this site.
For the most part games are enjoyable and those that aren't are a real learning experience into the more unpleasant side of the human psychology (both mine and the opponents).
Things to take away from that time are,

1. Life is fleeting, enjoy it while it lasts. Accept it gracefully when it is gone.

2. Fouling is a definite part of the game and has a strategic place. Funnily enough people's lame excuses for doing it can be more distasteful then the actual actual act of kicking someone when they are down.

3. Enjoyment of the game comes first, for both parties. I hear a lot of talk about never conceding and other hard line statements, but to me, while of course winning is a buzz, it is just a bloody game. If a coach isn't enjoying it there is no point. Why turn something designed to be fun into a chore?

4. Some people just have no social skills even via messaging. While I like to talk to someone while playing it seems like not all others are capable of it.

5. Having a girlfriend who has just got into playing too rocks hard.
